You misunderstand. In order to earn money (their $PRIME token), you need to have NFTs in your deck. There is NO competitive advantage in the gameplay for having the NFTs, though. That portion of the game is COMPLETELY optional. It's exactly like Hearthstone with opening packs, gold, and a dusting system. But in order to make real money, you gotta invest in the digital assets. I didn't mention it because I'm not trying to get my audience to buy their NFTs or crypto, I just want them to learn the game because I think it's really great and fun. I will say tho - I really believe that digital collectibles (NFTs) are a good system for card games, so if you have any respect for me at all, please just consider learning more about why. There's a lot of misinformation out there about it, and I wouldn't risk my brand on it for no reason. I have a successful career and strong brand, I don't need to peddle "scams" to succeed... just think about it. Wish you the best.

Why? I encourage you to be open minded about web3 and NFTs. Not everything is scam. And Parallel doesn’t force you to do anything related to NFTs if you don’t want to. It’s 100% playable like a hearthstone system.

The entire point of the game is NFTs. You get one free rookie deck when you start. If you want anything else after that, it's NFTs.

That's not true. You can have an entire collection of '"apparitions" - these cards function exactly like your collection in Hearthstone does. Glints (gold) and Scrap (dust) are only for the apparitions... You can't "craft" an NFT with scrap. They built the apparition system entirely for people that do not want to play with NFTs.@@dac0917

No. You don’t have use crypto to play the game at all. If you want to actually own your cards so that you can resell/share them or earn money for playing the game, then you can buy a digital collectible (NFT) version. But there’s no benefit in gameplay from it. The “apparition” versions of cards are exactly like Hearthstone - locked to your account but can be bought in packs, crafted, and dusted, etc.

However, after that, you will need to win or acquire additional cards to enhance your capabilities or create multiple decks. Parallel has cards deployed with associated OpenSea secondary markets on both Ethereum and the Base Layer 2 (L2) scaling solution, and it’s possible to “echo” cards from the former to the latter. That said, buying cards listed on OpenSea is one straightforward way to nab assets you want for your deck-building efforts, though soon it will be possible to rent cards via groups like ParagonsDAO, too.

Are there NFT exclusive cards

@@AnAnxiousFroggonope. All of the cards can either be a NFT or “apparition.” The apparitions are just locked to your account like they would be in Hearthstone. There’s no gameplay advantage of the NFTs. You buy the NFTs if you want to make money ($PRIME) for playing the game or you want to lend them to friends/sell them once you’re done with the game, etc.
