Tip: If you catch someone with random Clone do not spend meter on combos because starting out combos woth Clone has stupid damage scaling and you're essentially wasting your meter. Also Divekick and Clone are punishable on reaction, if you play high level players they will punish it. It's best to only use divekick to wiff punish so they can't UpBlock or backdash to force wiff punish. If you use B3 use it as a stagger and don't do B34 often, its punishable abd some characters get a huge scary advantage off armor knockdown. Reptile, Sub, Tanya and Kung Lao all get full combo off their armor and every string Sub Zero has, is armor Gap punishable. 1•2, 2•1, 1•2•2, 2•1•2, 3•4, 4•4, B3•4 and F12•3 ( all Gaps shown by • ) His B2 very unsafe, his BF2 is punishable by jump in kick. Sub Zero is the worst in the game base character and is a high risk low to medium reward character. Normally to take your turn back you D1 into a jailed high starter, Sub Zero is the only character thats punishable doing jailed highs from pokes because of Gap's in 12/21 strings. Good thing most online players are bad and don't have any matchup knowledge 😂🎉

Another Kameo for Sub you should look into is Darrius. I would argue he unlocks a lot of Sub's real potential

that input error at 13:15 where you throw the ice ball.. i know you had meant to do ice clone. the same thing happens to me everytime i try to do that combo string in the corner, do you know why it registers iceball rather than clone?? it gets so annoying

i guess after looking at it a few times i can only come to the conclusion that we are inputting it as the opponent is directly above us so it’s a hit or miss whether they are on the left or right side by a minuscule amount

@@subzerrro I know why this happens... When you do J21 in the corner.. sub zero gets inside in the corner and now the inputs work oppositely... For example if you do db1 for the clone now you need to do df1.. try doing it in the practice mode and you'll find out

I have mained sub zero and my secondary Raiden in every MK game since the first one in the 90s except for this game I main Shao and my secondary is Raiden but I’m loving sub zero again also been in the lab with him and dude is pretty solid now

At 5:05 when Raiden is cornered try to use ice clone in air. These dumb raiden player often do the dash to run out of corner and the ice clone is doing its job :)

Down poke into ice klone is a really good tactic that catches a lot of players in the corner... Either doing pokes or dashing in

Youve got the flashy combo with sereena down. I cant seem to get it to be consistent when you throw down ice clone, the opponents head just misses the hitbox and doesnt get frozen and just flops the ground. Any tips on timing that part? Its seems really tight

Hit the 2nd back two as soon as the first one finishes and when in the air make sure you're slightly below the opponent when juggling with 2 1 in the air, should work everytime

The combo in question is Sereena into double overhead into UF21 into ice clone into UF21 into ground slam into UF12 into another aerial combo. About the 11 min mark

Nope... Input window has nothing to do with it... Just try practicing the combo in the practice mode... Connect 2nd b2 as fast as possible and then immediately do J21 into ice klone (delayed)

THAT'S SO TRUE BRO... I lose a lot of my match clippings because of this error... Some of the replays work but the majority of them do not.. unfortunately there's no solution to it atm

Still weak. Mid tier at best. Wait till you come across people that know how to exploit his weaknesses. I wish it warsbt true cause I've been a loyalist from actual mk1 but it is. Still probably one of if not the most unsafe characters in the game.
