Because it was a powershot on the goalline. It barely traveled any distance so it didn't have time to lose speed.

@@Zel-Veraan the ball doesn't lose speed in the air, it only looks like it does because if it has upward momentum then it is counteracted by gravity so the overall velocity goes down, but a ball that already has a downward trajectory will actually gain speed. Like that one redirect GarretG hit in RLCS at the beginning of last season, think it was like 144kph, that was the fastest regular shot I've seen and it probably gained 5-6 kph on it's way to the net because he shot it at a downward angle

@@Squashmalio The ball DOES decelerate as it travels through the air. Freestylers frequently use a plugin to track the ball's speed and its velocity is constantly dropping after the initial touch. That's why players aiming for fast ground pinches do so right in front of the goal.

@@Zel-Veraan that's because of the drop, I use the same plugin. It's worst with ground pinches because the ball HAS to have upward velocity so it will definitely lose speed
