At this level the coach understands that the difference between this level and highschool is the same as the difference between driving a battery powered toy barbie car and a real car. While they both have 4 wheels and you are technically driving them both the skills are not exactly transferable.
@clark25019 ай бұрын
@@tehweezled them to 1 Natty(which is more than most can say) and 2 title appearances. Not terrible in 14 years but LSU still wasn’t fully past the Skip Bertman phase, a guy who was one of the greatest college baseball coaches ever so it wasn’t enough to a lot of fans as the years carried on. Didn’t help that he won a title early on in his tenure and never won another. Basically the Les Miles of the program but for baseball.
@donothesitate11989 ай бұрын
Because it's the coaches job to make decisions and if you lie to him he won't have accurate information to make the best decision, so it's understandable why a coach would still be mad even if they ended up winning, it's not like every time this guy gets to bat his team will win, he easily could have just got lucky because even the good hitter only hit on average 30-40% of the time and he got 4 hits in probably 4 or 5 at bats

He lied about hitting in HS and coach at LSU told him to not swing. Then he told him he hits bombs so he let him swing. I guess he Almsot hit a HR

@@CrispyBuda he's a pitcher. Not sure why they didn't have someone else hit but coach told him to hit and just stand there. Todd wanted to swing so he told the coach he hit bombs in high school which was a lie. His coach wouldn't let him hit in high school. He gets up to bat and first pitch he smashes it and hits it off the wall for a double. It's just weird to see a pitcher who doesn't ever hit get up to bat and smash the first pitch and damn near hit a home run.
