Refreshing to see a KZfaq person do videos more focused on thrifting for yourself rather than all flipping. I love to use old stuff in my house. It is so much better made. I learned something new today. I didn’t know corn cob holders existed. I need to find me some of these! I also have that exact same money box. I’m subscribing.

I'm a new subscriber who's binge-watching all your videos. I just love it. I love your voice and how you really go over every item in the store. I'm a container junkie...I love baskets and bins and everything with a lid. I really appreciate that you're buying these items to use yourself or to give as gifts. Old things such be preserved...they won't be around forever and are being replaced by made-in-China garbage. Thanks for these videos! I'm inspired to go thrifting right now (have been thrifting since I graduated high school in 1974 and have never stopped)!

I live in a one bedroom cottage with my husband. You wouldn't believe how imaginative you can get to come up with extra space. And, this house was built with no closets!

A lot of older homes in US and U.K., didn’t have closets, had to use something called wardrobes. In fact, my first house I lived in didn’t have closets, had to use wardrobes.

Julie, for the spot on the dress, go to hobby lobby and go back to where the material table is and there should be a small galvanized bucket there with grandma spot remover . I'm telling it is some great stuff.

I lived in Celina, Ohio, as a newlywed. Our first furnished apartment was owned by the Mersmans. They had first pieces from their factory, which was in Celina, and when they sold the house made into separate apartments, they came and retrieved them. They were very collectible then in 1974.

Julie, l knew when I saw your thumbnail that you had bought that drum table. And oh my gosh, what a score at $10.00!!!! I have three in my home but they have leather tops. The lowest price I paid for one of them was $25.00. Loved the pie warmer too. Great score also at $8.00. Can’t wait to see your kitchen refresh. Great video.

I was thinking it might have been an old bread proofing box. But a pie oven makes sense too. That round table had an instant identifier that it was an antique and that was the brass covers on the feet. That is a dead giveaway. You did good Julie. You did real good!!! I am already watching your girls but Cara just popped up and I immediately decided she had to be your daughter…you will never be able to deny those girls…they are a carbon copy of you. Close your eyes and you are talking no matter which of the three of you it is. You had some strong Momma genes dear one! Can’t wait to see all the changes you’ve made and just a little heads up about your thrifting…NEVER leave behind wooden dowels…they are so pricey at the stores and they come in handy for so many things. Wow what awesome finds! The same thing happened to me last time I went thrifting I actually found so many of the things on my thrift wish list. The antique table is called a drum table…my in-laws gave me theirs years ago and I love the style!…The “Reduce” brand is expensive so that was a great find as well!👍🏼😀

A friend of mine did just what you suggested about using a wardrobe for a pantry. She lives in a very small cottage and she had a wardrobe from her grandmother. The top part she added a shelf, and then she put a rack system in second drawer, where she actually was able to put canned goods and jars and stuff. It was very nice. She also had two smaller that she used for spices. It really did turn out perfect.

tell your daughter to think vertically. Over the door shelf storage works great for small places. I have downsized a few times, but my main big downsize came back in 2007 and I discovered those over the door shelves work great for pantry items.

Hello! I'm watching this video at 12:03 EST in DE. I received a black counter pie holder as a gift from an elderly friend in the 1980's. I used it to put on my gas stove to heat desserts until I purchased a microwave. It's a beauty.

Love all of your finds!! I have a metal money box that I thrifted as well. I use mine for my make up and jewelry when I travel. The money slots are perfect for separating jewelry and my toiletries fit below the money tray. Just another way to repurpose this item. Cool finds. You inspire me!!

Awwwe. My precious grand baby’s middle name is Hope. She is our miracle - she was a twin & very premature - only 1 lb. 7 oz! Hope is sure what our whole family did - she has done great though - thank you Father in Heaven.🙏🏼

The table my grandmother had one it had like a matted top to it. It was a big round circle. The legs were the same. It had three drawers in it around it. Those tables are worth some money.

You certainly hit the jackpot Julie. I saw a fully restored round Mersman for 650.00 dollars. Please 🙏🏼 restore it as it will only increase in value. Also looked up the pie safe. That is a restoration item with gentle cleaning re the enamel paint work and then the removal of rust from the pie racks etc as I found a white plain metal bread safe and they had a crazy price of 265. I love watching thrift shopping but it breaks my heart when they paint over beautiful wood with these craft paints and waxes. Sometimes they just don’t realise less is more. They would get a better price if they just sold pieces as is and let someone restore or craft it to their taste and decor. You have a great eye for detail. I’m now following cause I love your authenticity and keeping it real. Hope you find many other goodies. 👍🏼❤️

LOVE the metal pie safe!! I love antiques like that! I recently picked up a vintage miter saw box at a goodwill. It was wooden and had metal legs. I use it as a riser and i love it!
