June's monthly budget wasn't quite what I was hoping for.. But I am hopeful that during July, things will improve! I've got a new income, fluctuating expenses (including the cost of moving - AGAIN!😳) and trying to find us a place to live for next month! I'm just trying to find balance and remember to keep mental health a priority while I try to exist in this wild economy. One month at a time!😵‍💫
Debt paid off to date: $143,849.31 ($99,978.42 in principal, the rest in interest) 😮‍💨

I am glad you are moving to Maine. At least you are where you want to be. I would check to make sure the 20% withhold is correct. I understand what you are saying but keep looking. A couple of people who were out of work for almost a year finally found jobs. Stability is important. Keep applying

Delighted you finally got the 4th day and now you can start 12 days a month. Yes it’s very frustrating and hopefully it’ll be smooth sailing (pun intended) from here on. Also glad the tenant has paid up. Have a great week. Mary, Joes wife 🙇‍♀️👏💪👍🙏💐🐈🐈‍⬛

Enjoy your quirky and positive attitude. I hope you get your 12 days this month. Is summer considered the “busy season” for fishing vessels.

Thank you!! It is a little bit busier in the warmer months but still plenty of fishing in the winter too.🙂

I'm a new subscriber. Stumbled onto your channel during the last move. Really enjoying the variety content and following your journey. I really like like your budget format and am planning to emulate, but noticed there is no cell phone expense. I will be leaving my job soon, giving up my work phone and will likely need a new plan, thus the reason for the curiosity. Would love to hear how you eliminate a cell phone expense if you don't mind sharing. Hope work and the move go well this month.

Just curious to know…have you found somewhere in Maine to rent? Have you thought about doing more KZfaq videos such as vlogs? I know it won’t replace your job income but if you have any spare time it could be an option.

I’ve really been struggling with apartment hunting so my aunt has agreed to let me stay with her for a short time while I keep hunting. Actually being close by I’m hoping will help my chances. As for videos, I absolutely am going to be adding more vlogs!☺️

Maybe the reason there is turnover in the role is because of the cancellations. Do they pay you something for the cancellations? Like for being on call.
@its.rachel.hickey
@its.rachel.hickey 6 күн бұрын
That is most likely a huge part of the reason! Unfortunately not paid for those cancellations 😕

Im no economic expert but getting only $640 per month in income from a rental property is very low.... its less than half what youre paying out in rent... Why would you keep that rental...sell it or move into it Why would you want the extra stress of as you say "When the tenant pays" seeings as he is not paying on time currently
@amazinglats6020
@amazinglats6020 14 күн бұрын
she said 640 is what she gets after everything is paid for if I’m not mistaken (mortgage, property taxes, property manager fees)

You rent out your house is too low for $643. You can rent $1000 per month.

If you lived with your parents or brother and threw every penny you earned at your student loans, you could have them paid off in 3 years (not counting interest, which could be offset but doing Doordash or something). Here's how I figure....Emergency fund (36k) would lower student loan to 142k. Throw all W2(2880), youtube(433), rental income (643) =3956/mo at them and they would be GONE in 36 months!

WAAAAAYYY easier said than done. Not to mention, she can qualify for forgiveness after some years pass, which means there's really no point in going all out paying all her student loans. Yes, she will be taxed as income for the remaining balance but it's a whole lot better than paying the $170k+. Dave Ramsey is good but he's not always right.
