The latest "Watchdives Vintage 50-Fathoms wd50fk" is a new offering that is 1mm smaller in diameter, k1 mineral glass and a lug to lug of only 48 for smaller wrists. Also gone is the "Exploration Road" that is replaced by 300 meter depth notice. I like hesalite, mineral and sapphire glass just fine. Also the lug width is 19mm that isn't a deal-breaker. Still bead blasted and only a small shield below the 12 with no Watchdives script. Very clean and legible dial. Right now it's only $84USD shipped. For around $20USD more you get the matte ceramic bezel insert and the famous printed round moisture breech indicator. The bezel edge is still the scalloped offering. Also an upgrade to the sapphire glass with AR on the inside. It says $99 but $20 comes off automatically at checkout. ✌️

Thanks for the shout out Dave 🙏 As you know I'm a huge Fifty Fathoms fan unfortunately there out of my price range. As you also know im not a homage fan but this one i liked. I might get the Swatch & Blancpain version at some point there's no Swatch store anywhere near me . As far as the watch goes you can't beat it for the price. I'll see you on the Exploration Road Dave ✊P.S. I've been with Dave since his First video .

Its now got a bigger crown than version 1, I note. The smaller crown is accurate to the original aqua Lung but a lot of people said they didnt like it, it looks like Thorn listened.

I have been thinking to buy this one for a whole. I don't like nato style strap and that is why I haven't bought it already. I just would have extra strap with no use. But your review made the purchase a bit closer..

Yeah, it took a while for me to warm up to NATO straps. I would just say, if you go for a strap swap, choose a thicker rubber or thicker leather to help fill in the gap between the springbars and watch case. It's a really great looking watch, I would say to not let the strap prevent you from enjoying it. Cheers! 😎👍🍻

Great looking homage…seems well done! That for pointing out the lug gap from spring bar holes out on the edge, I don’t like that gap look!

Yeah, that gap look is not very good looking haha. The thicker rubber straps do a good job of filling most of it to where its not as noticeable though. Thanks for checking out the review, Witt! 😎👍🍻

Sure thing, my wrist is 7.25" around, the flat top section of my wrist is 57.7mm across. I hope that helps!

I purchased the same watch from Thorn but the crown on my watch is smaller. It's much harder to grasp the crown when winding and setting the watch. The upside is that there's no large crown digging into my wrist. Why there's a difference in size I have no idea...

Wow that is interesting! I did see some earlier reviews where they mentioned a small crown so maybe there was a "first run" with smaller crowns before making the change to the size on the one I have. The smaller crown seems more true to the original Aqua Lung but I'm okay with this sized crown too.

Yes, I tested this one with my diamond tester...its mineral. It looks good in person, but yeah, maybe even an acrylic option would be preferred since you can at least buff out any scrapes and scratches.

I wish they would use better movements in these. NH35 is garbage. They could easily fit a Sellita or even a PT5000 in there, and you get a much better end product with a 2824 clone.

bought one of these watches. when both hands are pointing at the 12, the hour hand points slightly at the 1. So...check your watch when you buy one. disappointing. noticed it after the return window had closed. my fault.
