Lots of people don't know, Tibet region was part of Chinese Dynasties since the Yuan, about 1200s. During the Ming & Qing Dynasty after Yuan, Tibet kept its relationship with central governments kinda like California with the US federal government, certain degrees of self-governed but still part of China. And Xinjiang region, was firstly part of China during the Han Dynasty, before Jesus was borned. Since then Xinjiang separated, and reunited with the Dynasties from time to time. And one more fact, before 1949 the PLA liberated the Tibet province, the title of the highest ruler in that region was Dalai Lama, yes, the same as recently the one who tongued-kissed a boy, and it was a slavery society, probably one of the last slavery region in mid 20th century. Most Tibetans lived in hell back then, they welcomed the PLA's entering and kicked those slave owners out. That's why now you see some Tibetans abroad say all kinds of bad things about China and Tibet now, they are or the descendants of those high level nobles, monks and slave owners with vested interests got kicked out.

In fact what is now Xinjiang used to be no man's land. The Uyghurs are not indigenous people. They are descendants of Muslim settlers -- merchants and travellers that plied the Silk Road from the various Islamic caliphates and allowed by imperial decree to settle on the outskirts of the empire during the Tang Dynasty. For some of them to agitate for independence now is absurd. If they don't like to be part of China, they are free to leave and go back to the land of their origin.

And yes, the US backed the Dali Lama, the biggest slave owner of all. It goes to show that the US cares not whether a country or region is democratic, as long it swears an allegiance and follows the US. The same thing happened with Xinjiang. The US backed the terrorists that fomented problems in China. The ETIM has its headquarters in Washington DC. China has solved terrorism. The US is the root cause of terrorism. Afghanistan is a good example. After the Americans left, Afghanistan is rebuilding and improving infrastructure for the people of Afghanistan.

Indeed, the Tibetan religious ruling class that left China and spread out in the west were the slave owners! Because the lower class has to work on their karma to be reincarnated well! I live in the US, the religious groups are very well received in the West, have big following. The devoted followers love the mystique of Tibetan Buddhism. And the many Rinpoches, the lamas are kind and give good teachings on Buddhism.and most of these Tibetan religious leaders live very comfortably and luxuriously. But there are a few sexual scandals at some monasteries over the years as well. Most westerners do not believe the general population of Tibetans prosper well in China, and that they can still practice their religion. The free Tibet movement is not as loud as 10-15 years ago, but still exists!

According to the main data of the seventh national census of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in 2021: Among the permanent population in the district, the Han population is 10,920,098, accounting for 42.24%; the minority population is 14,932,247, accounting for 57.76%, of which: the Uyghur population is 11,624,257, accounting for 44.96% of the total population, and 77.85% of the minority population . Compared with the sixth national census in 2010, the minority population increased by 1,865,061 people, an increase of 14.27%, and the growth rate was 4.01 percentage points higher than the national minority population growth rate of 10.26%.

Indeed Muslims Hui people of China have freedom, not just in Xinjiang, but in cities where there are Hui Muslims populations such as Xian, Beijing, Gansu, Yunnan, Fujiang! There are Mosques, halal restaurants, halah street foods! Ask the Chinese Muslims themselves! Right at these times, We all witness what real Genocides are per the unrelentless bombing of the Palestinians by Israeli zionist government with the aid of US arms ! But also do not forget that in the US, Indigenous native Americans live horribly in reservations. The Navajos/ Dine people have toxic wastes from uranium mines poured on their lands. People live in poor housing. In the further himterland of the reservations there are no infrastructure. N and S Dakotas Native american reservations have great poverty, very poor housings, drug and alcohol problems. I can go on and on. Long and short, the indigenous peoples of both the US and Canada have lived very long suffering lives since the Europeans aka present Americans took their land away and put them in reservations. Human rights violations by the US and Canadian governments have to be brought to the International criminal courts many times over! So look no further than the USA and Canada for real genocides-- evidences abound! May the great Dragon New Year bring power, and protection to all peoples that suffer from persecution of US led military empire!

I spent 6 weeks touring around China with a local guide, staying in cheap Chinese hotels (no tourists) in 2015 and mixing only with ordinary Chinese people. What I learned, especially about my own political ideas shocked me. Communism is just a word. Democracy is just a word. What matters is what a government does for all its people. The Chinese government is totally committed to serving the people. I totally agree with you. The problems of the world are not caused by China. They are caused by the lies that the West spread about any country that threatens their hegemony. The USA's war mongering has to be stopped. The question is WHY the West so concern in relation to the rights and life of the Xinjiang? Without the CCCP, it is unlikely that the economic and social environment in Xinjiang are remained till to date. Xinjiang is now enjoying boom in economy as never seen before. Of course, go and SEE yourselves and make your judgement.. On the flip side, the West; especially USA is completely silent on the ex-colonized Africa nations, Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan by exploiting their valuable natural resources and leaving these countries in dire states. Perplexingly, yet; NO ONE in the West is uttering a single discontentment????

It is because whole China standardized the time zone as Beijing time (UTC+8), however, the location of Xinjiang is supposed in UTC+6, which means the official time is 9:00 am while the actual time is about 7:00 am

56 races in China, with Han race as majority. & for the 55 ethnic minorities, there are preferential treatments for them, which dated decades ago. Todate, there are no violence amongst different races living in China, people walk in the streets without being worried of being beaten up, or even verbally abused. Compare with the US, this is heaven for ethnic minorities. Certainly no police gunning down the ethnic minorities.
