路克索神殿是埃及的知名景點之一。它脫離埃及傳統宗教建築物的慣例，不是面對尼羅河方向，並且路克索神殿所供奉的神明，也不處於靈界，而就是法老王自己！更準確的說是保護法老靈魂-卡的地方。
路克索神殿的本名叫做：伊普特-雷蘇特。它是由阿蒙荷特普三世和圖坦卡門，在3千多年前所興建，十九王朝的拉姆西斯二世曾經大幅的修改過。路克索神殿的結構，一開始是一個巨大的塔門，以及塔門前的拉姆西斯二世石像。然後是「拉姆西斯二世大廳」，然後是「阿蒙荷特普柱廊」，這裡有一幅〝奧彼特慶典〞的場景壁刻。這是狼星重新出現在地平線之前，也就是每年的氾濫季「阿赫特季」的第二個月開始，為期11~27天的慶典，為得是預祝尼羅河的氾濫成功！
路克索神殿的第三段結構，是「阿蒙荷特普大廳」，這裡有部份變成了希臘式建築，包括記念亞歷山大大帝的地方。路克索神殿有部份建築，被改成了清真寺，這也使得路克索神殿經過3千年後，仍有進行宗教活動的地方。
Luxor Temple is one of Egypt's most famous attractions. It deviates from the practice of traditional Egyptian religious buildings, it does not face the direction of the Nile, and the gods enshrined in the Luxor Temple are not in the spiritual world, but the Pharaoh himself! More precisely, it is the place where the Pharaoh's soul-card is protected.
The real name of Luxor Temple is: Ypt-Resut. It was built by Amenhotep III and Tutankhamun more than 3,000 years ago, and was greatly modified by Ramses II of the 19th Dynasty. The structure of the Luxor Temple began with a huge pylon gate and the stone statue of Ramses II in front of the pylon gate. Then there is the "Hall of Ramses II", and then the "Colonnade of Amenhotep", where there is a wall carving of a scene from the "Obit Festival". This is before the wolf star reappears on the horizon, which is the beginning of the second month of the annual flood season "Acht Season", a 11-27-day celebration, in order to wish the success of the flooding of the Nile River!
The third structure of the Luxor Temple is the "Hall of Amenhotep III", and part of it has become a Greek-style building, including the place to commemorate Alexander the Great. Part of the Luxor Temple was converted into a mosque, which also makes the Luxor Temple still a place for religious activities after 3,000 years.
