ole cleeter needs to NOT keep his hand on the hydro brake all the time. he'll be able to run more aggressive smooth lines if he's got both hands on the wheel Edit: not hating on Garrett whatsoever.

Still using it as a safety, i do also wonder if donnie could use a little more power, cleet is always initiating with handbrake, tbf with what he learned to drift in being Neighbour im not suprised hes so reliant on handy cos the weight of neighbour, has a lot to come from goin sideways i think, he learns fast 😉

No one thinks you're hating on him, Isaac. You are only offering constructive criticism. No one is perfect, even Garrett so it's good to offer tips to help him improve. You are correct too, he uses the handbrake way too much and shouldn't be using it on every corner. He needs to learn how to left foot brake and transition into corners without the handbrake if he wants to get better.

He's doing a good job but you can see the angle and acceleration differences. Those other cars have so much oomph on tap they can immediately get back on the door. And it's always easier to lead than follow. Following shows the limitations of the car more so than the driver if you can't sit on the guys door and rotate quickly to get back there. For his first event in a relatively street tuned car he isn't doing bad at all. But you can see the gap between full on drift car vs a street car that drifts

Most of that would be a backwards step for the car at this point. The car needs more grip and possibly a lower ratio diff. Much more power will hurt him progressing as a driver and slow the car down at this point

You gotta have all the tcs,abs and active handling turned off and needing service in a vette with an angle kit changes the Ackerman and none of that will function

Just a bit of constructive criticism Cleet. It's a bad habit to always have your hand on the E-brake, you should be using mostly throttle control to work angle and it is slowing you down. Just wanted to help, bad ass video too

Thats some top level competition. With that same idea of learning, i think cleeter would learn a lot at some of these OSW events with Adam, the Ginge, etc. They are top level drifters that go to OSW to have fun and Cleetus would learn a ton

Always 2 hands on the steering Wheel. Dont rest your hand om the e-Brake. That Will give you more controll and wont make entrys so scary. Also try some clutch kick entrys

I mean... in his leads you are correct. Less handbrake, but when following resting on the handbrake can be a good thing. James Deane follows people with his hand resting on the handbrake. If the Vette was more comfortable transitioning on its own and flicking to lock as well as coming out of full lock that would help Ol' Cleetus improve a lot just because the car would be more comfortable.

When you’re drifting wherever you are looking is where the car is going to go! Also you gotta warm up the hydro brake with a couple pulls when you warm up your tires before the run. Your drifting skills are looking awesome! Nothing wrong with dabbling into other vehicle sports😎

@Johnathon Cook he's in pro1 to figure it out not to do well. he's there to observe some of the best drifters in the world. he admits that he's at a pro2 level but because he had the opportunity to get that pro1 license it just made sense. double the seat time with some of the best drifters in the entire world. plus it's his first comp, he didn't have much practice in that car cut him some slack, we'll see how he is at the end of the season and we can make judgments at that point

After meeting Cleetus and the gang today in Tulsa, and to see this is what he's been doing for two days before hand he has to be exhausted. But the whole crew was amazing and friendly. Shit! I was standing right next to James and didn't even realize it 🤣😂. Then waiting in line for food I turn around and George is right there. They say don't meet your hero's. But EVERYONE in this crew is just as genuine in real life as they are on the channel. Keep it up Cleeter!

@@Edigor100 you can't just drift "anywhere". You need an appropriate venue for it. Drifting on public roads is a fool's game and will quickly attract police attention. On the other hand, almost any woodland bridleway can become a rally stage in a Super 2000 car or somesuch.

Not likely at this stage. It's got a fully built (conrods, pistons, cam, pushrods, valve springs) LS6 in it that's not likely to blow up any time soon. However, I could see it getting a supercharger...

Buddy’s 1 hand drifting lol, not the most effective technique (work on using both hands), but looks dope. Oh and also I saw u looking over at the other guy following you a couple of times, don’t look at the other guy, just focus on your run when your leading.

@@zander5173 you have to make yourself comfortable with 2 hands its about being able to properly control the wheel/ car and i 100% guarantee that drifting with 1 hand you dont have full control. id have to agree with will on this one.
