I've never gotten sick of the views, I miss the mountains when we go on vacation. I have a nice view of Lone and Twin Peaks from my backyard. We also have a cabin up the canyon with a dramatic view of Kessler Peak. They arent just there for the views, we hike a few each Summer, probably my favorite activity. Born here.

Love, love, love the U-shaped kitchen! Finally a kitchen with plenty of storage, counter space and it feels like it's more of a separate room and not just sitting in the living room.

I absolutely really love the layout of this place and the exterior of it. There is no tub in the master bathroom, but the bench in the shower kind of makes up for it. I love the built-ins throughout, and the patio. I also love that you walk into the foyer, and it basically has it own space. In my opinion, I would turn the basement into a little apartment with an extra bedroom.

A large foyer but no coat closet in it for guests makes no sense to me. I think that I would have covered that side porch off of the dining area. Otherwise, this is a nice cleverly designed home. I really like the layout of that kitchen and that conditioned workshop off of the garage.

Thanks for coming to Utah. I live about an hour North. Love all the house’s that you have toured in Utah. But this one is more realistic than the over a million houses. But it’s fun to see how the other half lives.

This one is perfect! It has everything I could want out of a custom home without being way over a million dollars. With a rear facing garage, I'm a little more curious about the lot and the surrounding area then I would be normally. We have some neighborhoods with houses like this in Phoenix and they're always unique

Timothy?? This farmhouse is really different!! It has like a amish feel!! Upswept and rustic like!! Lots of wood and plenty of windows!! And really BIG ON THE INSIDE!! Just keep OUT DOING YOURSELF!!❤

I liked the book "tree". It was eye catching, but it doesn't hold a lot of books. The one room in the basement could be a library, but it's not big enough. I've got close to 2,000 books. Every room in my house, except the main bathroom, has books in it. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 i love books.

I Love it! I would make some cosmetic changes, but the the overall floorplan works great. One question though, Where's the Rangehood? Kinda important IMHO!

I had a cooktop in the island in past home. Usually there is a fan that will come up to use same as range hood

I don’t know about it feeling European, but I like the look and I love seeing stuff that’s at a lower price point. I like the smaller rooms with bigger closets for storage, and I love a garage that isn’t in the front of the house. It’s very close to perfect. Personally, I’d rework the master bath and closet to add a tub. I’d also see if I could rework the kitchen. Maybe flip the entrance to the other side? That way the kitchen could connect to the outdoor space with an outdoor kitchen. I’d work in a walk-in pantry in too, if possible. Very nice.

Finally saw a water catch pan under the washers in the master- in previous homes there was none and wondered where all that water spilling on the floor would go if it "broke".Having never lived in a snowy area, I wonder about those basement windows, what to do if it snowed 5 or 6 ft, which would totally fill up that scooped out area ?

You can get a plastic cover for the window wells. It also helps keep water out of them.

I wonder if the designer has ever been into a farmhouse let alone to European farmhouse. However the name sounds impressive and that is the power of advertising aimed to sell a typically American property. I think I prefer your Virginian farmhouse which is possibly much more European in design🌹🌹

Timmothy, you mentioned you toured some homes that only had a laundry room in the master closet, please refer me to them. As far as I know from constantly watching your videos that isn't correct.

Ok Timothy, you have us spoiled with some of the homes lately. I miss large windows in the living room! There is no pantry. A main suite tub...so you do not have to go upstairs to use that one. The bedrooms seem smaller and again, no large windows. Just not to my taste

Love the foyer!! Not a fan of that patio. I’d rather see it with a roof and maybe close it in with windows so you could have a sun room even in the cold weather. You could have those sliding doors. The main area seemed a bit small. I will never understand why someone would put the range on the island. Grease spatters. You could burn your kids. The master bedroom was way too small. The master bath was ok but no tub so I didn’t like that. Closest was ok. The workshop was cool! It would be lawnmowers and lawn junk most likely lol

I really enjoy your commentary on all of the houses you tour, though I am not a fan of this particular house. It's kind of unfortunate that for as nice as the views are... most of the bedrooms and living areas have views of basement window wells. I also am not a fan of the range in the island - seems like a great opportunity to burn your kids/ guests, and the ventilation is very poor with downdrafting.

Too modern for me. Nothing about it says farmhouse to me. I find modern and contemporary, or even midcentury modern stye boring and cold. Not in love with this one.

The house is very nice, but I don't see why you're talking about a "European Farmhouse". We don't have houses like that in Europe, especially not in the farmhouse category, here it's clearly a house designed for Americans, and we clearly don't have the same standards as you do 😛 I imagine that in the US, "European" is a marketing argument, because it's not at all the reality. You'd be surprised to come to us if you were expecting this style 😅

I honestly couldn't tell you why they call it a European Farmhouse. Guess it sounds exotic. (Marketing) It's like our "Chinese" food = not chinese lol

After googling and reading a few articles, the term “European farmhouse” is mostly to differentiate it from the general modern farmhouse style with its more minimalistic design style. The European variety is supposed to call back to merging a lot of architectural elements together when renovating due to an extensive history of additions. Think exteriors that blend a mix of new building materials next to old stone, for example. Interiors may have exposed beams or stonework, or hallway arches that call back to older European designs. Decorating should have a warmer, layered look involving lots of natural materials that look as if they have been collected over time to make a more “classic” style than that of always swaying trends. I suppose I get the distinction of it being more about renovating and old house in some European country that would involve a melding of a lot of past renovations and architectural styles into a pleasing result, even though the definition seems to leave out anything of choices in the layout of spaces, actual materials used, and functionality of the house, as those remain American as opposed to European, whom several of those people have already said on here. The thing that’s odd though, is that this particular house doesn’t try much to match any of the general definitions I could find of the style. Other than a few exposed beams, the house is still basically a modern farmhouse style, so the naming sounds like pure marketing to sound upscale.

House is way too close to the neighbors. Windows look too builder grade, but i guess that helps keep it "affordable". That basement 🤦🤦

Not European in style. Don’t know why it’s called that. The lower floor is a poor design with wasted space.

Not my cup of tea. I see too many things wrong to bother. Of course, no Guest Coat Closet. No even enough Coat Closets for a family. I would not want guests to have to go through that area (it could get messy with kids hanging their stuff back there) to get to a Powder Room. That upstairs Laundry Room in your own words was tight. Then only one Bathroom for 3 to 4 Bedrooms. If you had kids to fill even 3 Bedrooms up there it would be pandemonium. Turn that one Office\Bedroom partly into an Ensuite for that Bedroom at that end. Take part of that space to widen the Laundry Room. The Basement, I don't know. Seems messed up and I can't think right off hand how to fix it. This is a place with no back yard really. It is placed between two roads. I hate those type places. The Garage is way too narrow. Put your truck and a family car in there and you won't be able to open the doors without posibly hitting a wall or the other vehicle. Places like this look good but when you start adding up the short comings, it is a no go. Forgot, that Master Shower...I want a bench I could sit on. That corner thing I couldn't get a cheek on.

Why call it a European farmhouse it looks pretty contemporary to me. Nothing about it. Seems farmhousey and when you standing there washing the dishes at some point, there’s going to be houses directly across and that’s a road in front not very calming.
