I'm not a mom yet, just kinda a stepmom. I've always thought i don't have mom instincts that would never be me.will never forget the day my life changed with literally one swoop. I was at a shop with one of my step sons, and had been dating his dad for not even a year, he was about 6ish at the time. Started walking back to the car, i said wait for me okay. But him being an impatient kiddo was a split second trying to run ,leap across the street to the car. I don't know how I did it, and how I knew, there was a car speeding up towards us, i grabbed that kid so fast towards me, kinda jumped forward and grabbed him out of the way of that speeding car. Just in time it was like a millisecond that played off in slow motion. And my arm was around him. Couldn't even yell no. And yes the kid was mad at me for grabbing him of course. Told him later when he was a bit older why i grabbed him so hard that day but I think he knew. I think it's because of that day that he is almost always on my side and he became very attached to me as a little kid. 😂 Can't believe that kid turned 19 ladt year😮

I’m so glad her safety instincts kicked in- after they allowed her to let her kid get on the back of a light chair in the first place.

During an interview that aired during the Olympics, I think I remember Shawn’s mom said Shawn was always climbing and flipping on things and she (mom) got her into gymnastic to keep her from getting hurt. I bet when grandma saw this, once she saw that her grandbaby was safe, she probably felt a bit giddy that Shawn got a taste of what she felt. 😂😂
