I would HIGHLY,HIGHLY recommend wrapping those Barkley shoes in plastic ASAP. You can tell by the air pockets discoloration in the soles that IF kept unwrapped, the soles WILL crumble. Please look into this

Wow! The Acuna stuff is unreal! That could literally be on display in cooperstown at the HOF. I personally would deff have him sign the bat but I would leave the cleats as they are. It’s amazing that they still have the dirt on the bottom!

He said they were for his "Personal Collection" about 25 times. Can not write these items off, if he does and gets audited he's got big problems. Prob a good investment for his shop to draw people in but once he goes on a public forum and says over and over these are my "Personal Collection" his ability to use them as a tax right off for the business is gone! BTW, Sick Stuff, VERY Jealous of the Jordan Olympic Badge, Geoff if you EVER want to sell it, PLEASE hit me up! Cheers

@@autismawareness8912 indeed but when the day comes when he wants to sell any of his "personal collection" in the shop for whatever reason, and if he takes a loss on any item he could write it off as a business expense, and this video could be used as proof in an audit. Corporations do it all the time, its a loophole in the schedule c tax form. Examples include things like pawn shops, and brick and mortar stores.

I don’t think simply showing it on KZfaq makes it a business expense. But there are definitely tax strategies with cards and collectibles… I’m not a tax expert but maybe I can bring one on for a future video.

@@SportsCardInvestor Very “Gray” area from what I know. Not a Lic CPA but have run multiple companies and as you know, you learn a lot about taxes when doing so. I have to say it again, IF you ever decide to let that 92 Jordan badge go, PLZ remember this account. Not here to talk about myself but have a very close connection to the Bulls and MJ. I would LOVE to own that piece, Extremely Jealous. I’ve seen it before but don’t recall where/how you obtained it? Wish I had known, could have gone to battle with you for it. Lol. Cheers.

That’s an awesome collection Geoff. 1st Year Lebron Topps Chrome Rainbow is one my favorite for money reasons. Just as something neat to have that’s the rarest would be the MJ and LJ Authenticated Olympic Passes. I would definitely get Acuna to sign the cleats and bat without a doubt.

The lebron collection is wild. I also collect the Lebron Topps Refractors specifically myself. Including the Rookie Black Refractor/500. I prolly have 15 refractors, but no golds. I would love to step it up and buy the Rookie Gold /50 one day. Ill gladly pay the six figures. Not a fan of the baseball cleats since shoes aged terribly. The bat and basketball is nice. I WOULD get them auto’d. The idea of the Wemby 1/1 rookie would be devalued if he hand signed it is one of the worst perspective you could have. The players auto always brings you closer than any PSA certification could give you.

Incredible to be able to have both Cleats and Bat from the 40/70 moments. That is insane. Actually surprised that Cooperstown didn't come snatch them up. Cool stuff! The Lebron cards are my favorites. The most surprising piece was the 84 Olympic signed basketball-for only $10k. That seems inexpensive (relatively speaking) compared to other items you displayed. Will be interesting to see what the Jordan market looks like in 15-20 years. I think long term his cards will drop. Assume this is an unpopular opinion. Besides Tebow do you collect much football? That seemed to be missing from items you showed. Thoughts on Brady? Thanks for posting. The Acuna memorabilia will be a nice draw in your card shop.

Geoff has a monster collection and he's super sharp as a businessman. Ive always wondered how taxes work with a soorts card business. Can you claim losses or depreciation on a card or collection. I imagine there also needs to be serious insurance to cover a collection like his. Ps- Geoff if youre seeing this is everything okay from trade night. The bumpers are ridiculous Jeff. If you're actually putting high end cards in them, you're stupid. But play at your own risk. Why you wouldn't have a bag around them, or a slabmag, not the trash bumpers.. Are they cool, sure. Are they really going to prevent scratching??? No. If you're dropping cards so much you need bumpers, you're in the wrong hobby to begin with.

I'm not a LeBron fan but I like the cards . I think the best investment is in Yankees captain Aaron Judge ! He is on track to be a Hall of famer ! His numbers over the last several years have been staggering and I am not a Yankees fan !
