I've been getting a lot more comments on this lately asking why I didn't just show the kid the boy's section when he asked- I thought I touched on this in the vid but if I didn't I will now! This took place in a "girl's" accessory store. Everything in the store was feminine, pink, purple, sparkly, "girly". So when he asked where the boys stuff was, instead of just saying "sorry we have nothing for boys here" and essentially driving away a customer, I told him anything could be for a boy or a girl. My manager agreed that what I said was better from a retail and sales-driving perspective even though yes, it does align with my views that boys can like whatever and girls can like whatever.

I used to work at Claire’s and my favorite stupid question was guys who’d come in and ask “do you do male ear piercings?”

I'm a Christian woman too but first off there's no excuse for that kind of behavior & second, I believe that's not my place to judge anyone else & she should learn the same. I'm glad you stood your ground in a professional manner. Never change. Your personality is adorable & bubbly & so worth watching ❤️❤️❤️

as a Christian woman myself this dissapoints me. you're supposed to accept people and treat people with respect. she should know God loves all his children. my dad has a really similar mind set as this woman unfortunately.

I'm sorry you had to deal with this, and I'm absolutely furious that she tried to pass this off as part of her religion. She's not very Christian if she acts like this.

I've had some customers like that. Not many, but the occasional. One time a mom and grandma argued over what baby nursery rhyme CD to buy the infant and the grandma would say "well she doesn't want one with little boys on the cover get her the other one" when the two had the exact same songs and she was LITERALLY LIKE MAYBE 4 MONTHS OLD and i was like uhhhh well they have the same content one's just two dollars more and the grandma was like NO THAT ONE HAS BOYS ON THE COVER. SHE CAN'T GIVE HER ONE WITH BOYS ON IT.

I'm so embarrassed she called herself a Christian. We preach a message of love and are not taught to judge people. Jesus loves everyone.
