“I knead you.” *Everyone cried at that.*

I found my kitty in a bush, yelling her little heart out after being separated from her family after a storm. We didn’t originally plan to keep her since we already had three cats, but we took her home and began looking for someone who could take her. It had been about a week when she crawled up onto my bed and began to knead me and suckle on my blanket. I guess she decided I was her momma and truly… who was _I_ to separate her from her momma again? She’s gonna be my sweet little beastie for the rest of her life.

My 18 year old Siamese was sitting on my lap as I watched this. She is my best friend, my most loyal fan, the love of my life, and my everything.

The pain of watching your cat slowly die is indescribable. We both had a tough upbringing in NYC, and I know he sacrificed his life for me. We were soulmates.

The part where it said “I’m here to stay” helped me lot because currently my cat isn’t doing so well and I’m praying she gets better.

I feel like any person who has once owned a cat will see one of the cat's different fur colors and think of their own cat and how sad it is that they grew up so fast :')

I started to cry immediately, because this is so beautiful and I miss my cats so much. My orange cat passed away 3 september 2021 (born october 2009), and then my other cat (his mother) passed away 29 april 2022 (born 2007). His passing was so sudden, it left me depressed for months, and I could see how the lack of his presence was also affecting my other cat, she missed him too. They did not nap together, and would hiss at each other from time to time, but that did not mean they did not appreciate one another. She changed so much after he was gone, it was sad to see. Having to lose both of them in such a short time has been hard. But now I think of them often, about what they have taught me in life, and I miss them so much. I have made a little shrine in their memory.

I thought I would be "indifferent" to the stray and the homeless. I thought I was sure I wouldnt get attached. They proved me absolutely wrong and showed me that I was capable of empathy, perseverance and justice for just through their ways they conveyed what would take years for me to understand and imply in my life in varied ways. Miss you Bobo, Jetty, Loco and Durian. Were there in your innocence and care unknown to my tempest yet always there by my side. Rest in peace

My cat is 15 years old, his name is Tiger, and my family had him before he could even open his eyes. He doesn't have much time left as he suffers from severe kidney failure and is slowly dying. After I listened to this song I went over to him, pet him down, with him nuzzling into my chin then he ran over to his pack of treats and begged for some.

I just adopted a kitten from a shelter today, I wasn’t planning to. He’s such a cuddle bug, he purrs nonstop, and as he’s curled up in my lap right now, I saw this video. I started sobbing. Even adult cats still knead, and it mostly means that they remember their kittenhood. And if they do it on you it means that they remind you of their mother.

I can't watch this with out crying. It makes me think of the dear little friends I've had to say goodbye to. It reminds me that the little friend now I will have to say goodbye to someday, but it also reminds me to appreciate however much time I have with my little buddy. And in the years to come I know I will also share my heart with more little friends. Not much more rewarding and heartbreaking than caring for a cat or any animal through its life.

Maybe it was just me, but something about this song doubled with the animation hit me so hard I started bawling. It's something so soft, so warm, so loving and real I couldn't even fathom the emotions that exploded in my chest. I lost my cat, one of my youngest therapy animals, Shy, to cancer just last week. I haven't been able to process my emotions over her passing for awhile, but this song really helped.

This makes me cry. I lost my first cat around 2 years ago. We don’t know how she died. My mom just saw a picture of her dead in someone’s backyard. She told me after school one day and I cried so hard. Every year I wish she would come home. Worst part is we never saw my cat again, never got to say goodbye, and never got to bury her. My cat shockingly doesn't like laps much, but he'll still knead anything available when he sees me. Sometimes even the air when he's laying on his back. When he was a kitten, he used to do it while standing up, even on the hard floor. I'd call it his 'tap dancing.' He still taps occasionally, but not as much now. He's a sweet boy all the same.

This song made me cry so hard. I've had many cats in the past and my parent always had us get rid of them for different reasons, diseases we couldn't afford, Used to be an outside cat and we live in an apartment, a few other reasons, all of them were family cats except one. I got a 1 y/o cat named precious for my birthday when I was 9 and had precious for 4 years. I had her until I was 13 i remember the exact date of her death.. she died on exactly February 12th, 2020 when she had a horrible sickness and we had to put her down. I couldn't stop crying. i even tried to stop the vet as i was in the room and they told us she wouldnt make it and its better to put her to rest. I remember screaming and crying at the veterinarian, my mom had to hold me back, and had to take me out of the room right before she passed. I remember thinking it would be better if she cpuld spend her last few days with me, but now that im thinking back, i would rather have her put out of her misery instead of being miserable in her last few days, even if i loved her. She was my little baby, I loved her with all my heart. I remember I used to sing and she would come running. She used to love my singing voice, I was always told I was a good singer and apparently precious thought so too, But after she died I gave up on singing. I recently got somewhat into it but every time I sing any song I can't stop thinking about her, especially if I sing the first noel, as that was the song she loved the most, or one call away was out song, I'm not exactly sure why I made those songs our songs, I guess the first Noel because she always would come immediately running anytime I sang it, and she would sometimes even meow a bit while I was singing, I think I chose one call away because I was singing the chorus one time and it reminded me of her as she was laying on my lap, I started singing it to her and since that day it was our song. I can't hear either of those songs without bawling my eyes out. None of the other cats we had died, we just gave them away, she was the only one who actually died. She was a very special cat, she had a half pink, half black nose. And all her little toepads were pink except one black one. I'm 16 now, and I can still see her even after 3 years. In the little grey pillows we have, out of the corner of my eye I think its her, I still cry over her. I miss her.. We got a dog and had her for 2 years but had to give her to a close friend, I can still see her but not very often as the person lives 5 hours away. We got two beautiful little kittens named Mario and Peach, a few weeks ago, they're three months. I hope nothing happens to them. Funny thing is, about precious, well not very funny I guess, but no other cats we had liked me that much, I mean they liked me, but I wasn't their favorite. But with precious she rarely came to anyone else, she would follow me everywhere, And always cuddle with me, she even figured out how to unlock my bedroom door somehow, and she would unlock it and run in anytime she heard me lock myself in my room and cry. Sorry for my long comment. I miss my baby, anyways. She would be 7 as of today... I love you precious, I hope yoh remember me and are watching over me. I hope you sent these other cats who are cuddling with me right now, I hope they know exactly how to cheer me up like you did... I love you so so much, ill never forget you. I still have a little toy of hers she used to absolutely adore, I sleep with it every night since her death. Fern is the only one alive today, and this song touched my heart. I'm not one for slow songs, but this is a masterpiece. I found my cat that I own now, Zozi, in my barn one day. She was malnourished, dirty, pregnant, and as soon as she knew we lived right next to the barn, she did everything to get our attention. She was the sweetest, most neediest cat ever. She'd let you pet on her for hours, and if you'd stop she'd grab your arm with her little paw. We figured that someone threw her out because she was pregnant and didn't want to deal with the kittens, so I did everything to make sure she was ready to have them. She ended up having two beautiful little pure black female cats, just like her. We still have one of those kittens, now known as Sushi, but she's a bigger cat now though still small, just over a year old. The other cat, Maple, is living with my aunt. They're all very happy and spoiled now, especially Zozi. After we took her in and she started cleaning herself, she puffed up. Turns out she was a big old fluffy Persian cat, we just couldn't tell behind the grime. Oh, and Zozi's chubby now hehe, but we're helping her lose the weight.

She visits in my dreams when I need her sometimes- thank you for reminding me of that- while… steadily feeling my soul being crushed. Felt like having a conversation with her again. Thank you.

This song reminds me of my cat that died when I was 9, It was so unexpected and gruesome It will haunt me for life, and one of the kittens looking like her hit me worse than stab in the heart. This song is perfect and 100% got every (current or past) cat owner cry. I will forever remember you Snowflake The only bad thing about pets is they don't live forever, and often, when they die, they will leave you mentally scared, for us, they are just a small part of our life, but for them we were their hole life. They don't know how fragile and short their life can be, but while they are here, they show you unconditional love and support.

This makes me appreciate my cats so much more. My dog passed away about a month ago, and I’ve been struggling without him. When he passed away, I sat there next to his body, bawling my eyes out knowing my first pet, and one of my best friends, was dead. My one cat, Max, came over and sat a little ways away, staring at his friends lifeless body. Starsky-my dog- and Max, were very close friends. Star was only two years older than him, deceased at the age of eight. Max was very sad that he was gone, and came to me for comfort. When I noticed him sitting there staring at Star, I told him it was ok, and he could come closer. And he did just that. He came over and sat beside me, with so much pain in his eyes. It was truly wonderful... My other cat Sam has been helping me too. Star used to come upstairs with me and sleep in my bed at night. Though he was a massive German Shepherd, I still let him cuddle up beside me. The last two years of Star’s life, he’s gotten arthritis, and wasn’t able to get up on the bed anymore. And within the last month, he couldn’t even go up the stairs. At bed time now, Sam sleeps with me. I’ll tell him it’s time to go to bed, and he’ll run up the stairs, and we for me to finish getting ready, sitting on my bed. I turn the lights off, and he’ll curl up in the curve of my body, giving me comfort still having that soft fur against my skin. I love my cats so much....

in April 2023, my cat Sawyer passed away. He was only 9, but he had health issues. he was a beautiful white and orange cat who we all loved very much. But one thing i remember is that he would always knead every blanket and everything he could find. This made me cry thinking of him.. I miss him..

In 2018, I found my kitty when he was a scared, feral kitten that was abandoned by his mom. (She was never around for MONTHS. It was so sad) He would frequently seek shelter by himself under my grandparents house. My grandfather adored him, and fed him every day and sat outside and spoke with him for hours. He introduced me to him. He wouldn't come near either of us, but we were okay with that. We just knew he was safe and fed. My grandpa began having a hard time going out and talking to him, though he'd always feed him daily. So I'd frequently visit them, and sit outside just as my grandpa did and talk to him. One thanksgiving, I had made him a little plate after searching safe foods for kitties to eat. It was the first time he approached me and let me touch him. December came, and a snow storm was coming- my mental health had rapidly deteriorated at that time but I consistently sat outside with him. Once I found out there was going to be a snowstorm, I couldn't let him be caught in it. We got a trap from the local vet, and got him inside to feed him and keep him warm. He was so scared, and it broke my heart- and I sang "You are my sunshine" to him and he immediately began to calm down and even ate. Something told me he was my kitty soul mate. He became bonded to me, very attached. Every night he lays on me while I sleep, purring. Every morning, he runs up to me- meowing and rubbing against me and standing on his hind legs for me to pet him. When I have panic attacks, he's running to me to give me affection before I even know it's coming. In a way, we saved each other. I saved him from freezing and starving in a snow storm all alone, and he saved me from myself. My grandfather died in January this year, and I still am so grateful he took his time to care for Honey. I'm grateful that he introduced me to my baby, and helped me find a reason to live again. When the tuxedo kitty showed at the end where she says "I need you", my sobbing picked up the pace

My mom was having a really bad time recently, really overwhelmed.... So I saw this in my recommended, gave it a listen, and sent it to her! I have a cat named Noodle, she died in December 23 2023, and when I heard this song I almost cried, I'm saving this to my playlist.

Everybody seems to be sharing how they got their adorable cats, so I’m going to share mine: The elderly black and white cat that we have went missing. My mom went to the shelter to look if she was there. She didn’t find our cat there. While my mom was there, she saw an adorable Egyptian Mau, that stuck out to her. Fortunately, we found Sadie. She was under our neighbor’s porch! My mom really loved the Egyptian Mau so much, that she went back and attempted to adopt her, but she was at a cat college! So, my mom waited for my cat to be let out. I think it was a month or two before she got let out? When I got to meet her for the first time, I kept trying to play with her, and give her treats.I had never really had a cat of my own. So, I didn’t know how to treat her. On November of 2018, when she came out of the cat carrier, into our home. She ran into my little sisters’ bedroom, then she ran into my room and hid under my bed. A few days later, since I was like 8, I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t google anything up. And then I grabbed her out, luckily, she didn’t hate me. She actually came out more, and she eventually decided that I was her person, the one she chose. 3 years later, (almost 4) I cannot think of my life without her, a beautiful baby who has grown up, but she will forever be my baby. She is happy, loved, fat, and adorable girl who cannot go a day without me. If I hang out with my older sister, she will meow like she is dying. She is a mischievous girl to, and of course, a brat like most cats. But she is very precious to me. I don’t know what my life would be without her as my companion.

My cat passed on last Wednesday, due to us having to put her down, the veterinarian came to our house and died where she was supposed to, Home. She is now buried in our backyard, with a bouquet of flowers, and looked exactly like the cat at 1:21 She had a good 23 years.

Did NOT expect to genuinely get emotional about this. After living my whole life never having had any pets and really loving cats, I got two kittens. They love to knead me.. (sometimes right on my bladder and i need to pee) I have a pretty tough home life and I'm still trying to deal with the trauma it gave me but both of my kittens are always there to cheer me up and remind me that I am deeply trusted by them and that I trust and love them just as much.

A few months ago I moved into a house with a stray cat who wandered the neighborhood. Was only 9 months old at the time, but he was covered in dirt, rail thin, and had blood coming out of his eyes from an infection. Every time I came outside he would follow me around begging for food or roll over in the hopes that I pet him. Christmas eve I took him in and gave him a bath. My bathroom reeked and the bath was covered in a layer of fine dirt. When we dried him, he was terrified and tried to escape through the windows. He calmed down when we finally brought in a plush bed and a soft blanket for him, and he started kneading. After a lifetime living out in the cold and sleeping under cars he was finally home. Seeing him clean and happy, kneading and content in his bed is by far the best Christmas memory I'll ever have. Edit: his name is Button and of you want to see what he looks like go to 0:58 Second edit (sad): less than five months into having him, my boy is gone. Button began to show signs of severe neurological problems beyond what could be treated. Most cats want to die alone but Button never wanted to leave my side. I cradled him up until the injections. Sorry for tacking on this depressing news but I figured this needed to be said. Last year the pandemic had me in isolation for several months, unable to see people or have any connection outside a phone call. I returned to my home state late last year feeling drained and unable to communicate with others. Taking care of him made me realize how important it is to invest in people other than yourself. Two of my family members adopted pets after I did, and I'm continuing to help at a shelter in part because of him. Don't underestimate the effect your kindness can have on yourself and others

This song reminds me so much of a kitten I tried to rescue named Smink. I found him abandoned in a box, wailing while trying to snuggle against the cold, stiff bodies of his siblings. He was shivering, only three weeks old at the time and desperately hungry. I brought him in and did my best to save him, but he passed away four days later from a bacterial infection. He died snuggled against my chest, clinging to my neck as he purred his last. I cry every time I listen to this song, both from guilt that I wasn't able to save him and relief that at least he passed away knowing that he was loved. Rest in peace Smink, you were too young to die and I wish I could've done more to save you. Edit: Thank you everyone who showed condolences to my baby Sminker. I know myself as a tough person but damn this song made me choke up. Even if you're tough as hell to yourself and others, there's almost always going to be a breakthrough of losing a cat and then listening to a song like this. That "I need you" at the end hit me harder than a brick fallen down from space 🗿

I lost my cat last year to Feline Leukemia Virus, and this song made me break down in tears. I miss her so much, and all the professional dough kneading skills she had 💖I have a nother cat who does the exact same and he brings back so many memories to her 💖

My cat passed away three days ago. He was attacked by dogs and didn’t survive. He was barely a year old when it happened too and this song warmed my heart so much.

Came back for a listen I guess. My cat may be passing away at some time. His blood clotting all over inside his body and a mass in his stomach. He's still at the vet right now and we'll be picking him up at 7am tomorrow. We found him around 6 in the morning unable to use his hind legs. He struggled to get up for a bit be going to the litter box. He did his business back fell back down immediately into the litter while mouth breathing fast. My sister picked him up and wrapped him in a towel. She sat with him in her lap. He was struggling a lot to purr. Then he was taken to the vet. At least we'll be able to say goodbye to him if his time is approaching.

Without fail this makes me sob, the little tuxedo cat hits me way too hard because it reminds me of my 18 year old cat who layed down in a sunny spot somewhere one day and never returned but when he was younger and even up to when he disappeared he loved purring and kneading me. I love him so much and I miss him, it has been 2 years and we got a runt that looks a lot like him, I hope he is happy now wherever he is.

Today I saw a cat outside. He was so adorable. He purred when I pet him. Then he jumped on my back and started kneading my jacket. I want him to be my cat so much. -he has a home

I have never cried harder to this song then now. Recently my kitten that barely turned 2 years old died due to a seizure while I tried to get my mom to drive me to the vet. I just miss my baby and every time I held him, cuddled him, or gave him attention, he would knead me and purr. Rip my baby, I hope your living well in heaven my dear. (Yes I cried while writing this and when I saw the fully black kitten I cried harder as he was a fully black kitten)

I've been crying over this song for the past like 20 minutes. Two of my cats came and curled up on me for comfort and it just made me cry harder. I "knead" you too, babies 😢❤

To everyone crying over their dead cat friends, I'm crying with you. I miss her so much, I blame myself for not taking better care of her, but in the end, she was 17 years old.
