Darrin (Dick Sargent) is on a business trip with a witch in disguise and trying to seduce him, so Samantha (Elizabeth Montgomery) has to step in and use her magic to get her husband back...and it turns out it's all Endora's (Agnes Moorehead) doing!
From Season 8 Episode 12 'The Eight Year Itch Witch' - Endora summons a witch named Ophelia to tempt Darren.

Although it was a much used storyline over the seasons this was one of the most enjoyable episodes, the mind altering magic, the popping in and out and Julie Newmar what more could one want. Sorry Endora, Darrin yet again proves his love for Samantha, give it up already. 😊

Julie was a whole lot of woman. It's rare to see Samantha with her hair parted down the middle, which I do prefer.

Samantha was downright hot in the final season! Longer hair, miniskirts, etc. It was probably an attempt to boost ratings with a younger demographic but it was too little too late

I have watched most of the episodes over the years and love most of them with Dick York. But I've always wondered because they repeated so many of the original storylines like this one, were they just not willing to spend money on new writing? Or because they pulled off a total switch of Darrin's they figured fans wouldn't squawk about repeat stories?

I'm pretty sure that Julie Newmar had already played the original cat woman on the Batman tv series. It's really cool on her reference to all the cat things here like Purrrrfict. I was younger than Tabitha, so I don't remember this episode. Was she a cat on this episode? Does someone know?

EM’s husband Bill Asher was making money hand over fist with this show and he wanted to continue, she was over it by the 5th season. EM walks through the last year or two. They reused storylines, and the show devolved into turning Darrin into a different animal every week, it got to be a parody of itself. EM was tired of it, got tired of Asher because of his tunnel vision, fell in love with someone behind the camera & she went off with him when the show ended. Asher himself admitted all he wanted to do was work. The show ended up looking like an out of date Jewish vaudeville act. Only a few good shows to pick from in the last 3 seasons.
