Now THERE was a handsome actor - John Payne! Nobody they have today could even come close to him, in looks OR in talent! (Why didn't time just stop at 1950 or so, and loop around, over and over again?)

I've been a fan of John for some time. And what a looker! I was so glad to find out he dd his own singing. But I do have a question, why didn't he become a singer? He could've been as popular as Frank Sinatra and others.

If you are John Payne's nephew, can you help me with some info. Wasn't John not only a great actor and singer, didn't he make a killing in real estate out in California or am I thinking of someone else?

@@letsbakeitout Thanks. A man has written a biography of John Payne. I've tried emailing him but he won't reply. I'm wondering if maybe he's a fraud.

This is the first time I've heard John Payne, one of my favourite actors, singing in a movie. He passed away on this day December 6 in 1987, R.I.P.
