she can use head voice while singing, I believe she is japanese and I am not sure but it may or may not be a normalized thing for Japanese to usually tend to use their nasal voice while singing, I have heard of Mai's newjeans cover and it was honestly good, I believe she was forced as a rapper in this performance.

I like her facial expressions and she is kinda cute person but there were some trainees who became grounder and better than Mai.
