When my son was 4. We came to England from Vietnam to raise and have him educated here. I think his education would of been just as good or better in Vietnam to be honest. I will never know how things would of turned out if I stayed in Vietnam. It was though a real shock coming to the UK and very stressful for a number of years. I had to work whether sick or tired to make ends meet for years. It wasn't until maybe 4 or 5 years that my finances got better. Everything has turned out well now but wow was it the most stressful time of my life and also difficult for my wife to come here all alone without knowing English. We had no help from family or friends so did it all alone but "my way" lol. Life in Vietnam was very convenient as is Cambodia. One thing I can say though is that we always want to move back. But once your child starts school you become stuck there. And you always think when can we move back? Then there are a 1001 things that stop you from moving back. Good luck in the US.

Great video! I need to go to Cambodia to eat Pho and try Nigerian food. Vietnamese is a fun language to learn. It's easy for Khmer speakers because it belongs in the same language family as Khmer. I'm looking forward to watching your videos in Vietnam.

I think you're making a mistake leaving your family. You have been in Cambodia long enough you can go to the US Embassy and get a visa for your wife in four months and all go to America the same time. If you leave her and try to get her to America when you're in America alone it could take a year or longer and it will be very expensive

You’re moved there six years ago and have family kids and already want to come back to the states that is not fair. I came to the states 40 years ago as a kid myself and now I’m having 5 kids and two grandchildren and still living in the states going to retire in a couple years but harder to walk away from big money 20 years Engineering salary. I’m always like your posts and jokes with you for the first time and I do miss Cambodia since Co-vid I have never been back there.

You see irresponsibility like this all over poor countries and they wonder why they're poor. In Colombia, I regularly see construction wokers in $800 Philip Plein tshirts getting them dirty. That's 2-3 months salary PRE TAXES just to show off to your bros. And poor people wonder why they stay poor. I wear all these brands too but the difference is I have at least some stock earning dividends, some crypto, etc.
