I left my marriage after 23 years! I got tired of being hurt by a man who I had loved for years

Njoki Muraguri is a senior citizen. She now runs her business after retiring from a job in the county government. She tell me that when her first born was only 3, she had accessed and seen that her marriage may never work but she chose to stay. She loved him and always hoped that he would become a more responsible man. After 23 years, Njoki left! So why did she leave after all that patience? She tells me that she finally got tired of being hurt by a man who she had loved for years but he wasn't willing to change for the better.

Good wives are hard to come by but men overlook that and assume that when wives are good and faithful and homemakes they are foolish and that they were meant to be that way. To me I think there's a crisis in generations both our parents and ours their children. This is why : You know I find it hard to understand how men who got married along time ago have been mistreating their wives . (This is evident because this is not the first story you are bringing like this one metha ya Kagoni . ) When us their children are finding a challenging time to get women who have the character and wifely values like being homemakers and supportive wives.

To everyone reading this.. If you your parents ever warn you of a person....sit down think twice....ask questions....n sit down again and think harder.... our parents see things we don't see....and they almost if not always have our best interest in their hearts... Secondly never be too spiteful to go back home to admit and apologize to them.."they saw right and you was right"...as much as youd think you too grown up for it.kiburi yako itakuumiza bure.. remember a parent's love is to see you outlive them and have a better life than them...(rem the prodigal son) 3. Never ignore red flags... they'll come haunt you oneday.... staying with a toxic partner while giving yourself false hope of 'he will change' that's foolish.... people change when n for who they want.... 4.Never give your children as an excuse of staying in a toxic marriage...it does more damage to them than good... remember children mould their characters and personalities around the environment they are first introduced to when they come to life... If you show the shitty marriage is the way of life... they'll never see themselves of deserving any better 5.Never be afraid of 'what society will say' being a people pleaser Will rob you life...and destiny... many times society don't even care...it's your foolish ego holding you back 6.Stop calling come we stay cohabitation..especially pia marriage hata that doesn't have blessings from parents...no church involved. God ordained...God doesn't ordained unities based on selfish interest...lust and toxicity Am disappointed in this woman blaming his father for her useless marriage...note even crediting him (her father) for securing her a job that turned out to be her saving straw... atlast

I love Njoki 's spirit and focus. Nevertheless i don't like the way she is blaming her late father simply because he did not tell her why he and by devote they ( both parents) diidnt tell her why they were not supporting their marriage. Firstly did she ask them why they were not ? Secondly since she knew from onset that he was a drunker Why did she take time to learn his behaviours ? Why rush in the institution of marriage. In her story the parents are coming out strongly as a very loving , Supportive and responsible. No wonder the father went all the way to look for her at Nyeri to take her empowerment letter. Including making sure she signed the letter .of empowerment he helped her acquire. despite the fact that she was married. How many would wish to have such kind of parents . He even went a head to giving her a plot. He sibbling are also good. I have a feeling if Nloki was a little bit patient the parent could have taken her college. I would have loved if Kagoni asked her whether her sibbling were taken to college or were supported to settle. That not withstanding I love the way she (Njoki) was able to pick herself up easily and moved on with her life. The story is resourceful.
