Wheelchair user all my life. Married for over 35. We were best friends first too. My OH also stuck it out, as I tried everything to make him realise how different / difficult it could be when one was a wheelchair user.

You both should have medical insurance. I had cancer twice and thank God I had medical insurance, you never know.

I faced the same issue with getting married to my husband. I was penalized heavily by SSDI for getting married. However, I was able to get back on disability due to my progressive disease. It's such a shitty situation to face as someone with a disability. things need to change!

Do you ask someone else's opinion to do just the opposite later? hahaha Seriously speaking, it is inconceivable that you cannot get married, in my country there is universal public health, you do not pay for hospitals or tests, treatments, etc, each country has good things and others that can be improved, it happens in all countries, it is incredible it is that we do not adopt the things that work in others, I believe that being critical of our shortcomings as a country (I am critical of my country) implies wanting a better country, leaving citizens with millionaire debts right after suffering an accident or illness, it is cruel, tied to very expensive insurance adding stress to your own damaged health, not to mention the violation of rights such as the right to marry, because you have the right as such, but not the subjective right to enjoy it, so it is a right that assists you but I would leave you without help, a difficult puzzle to solve, a big hug guys p.s Totally agree with your reflections, ahh and I already know the reason for perfectionism 🤗🤗
