You did the right thing, I’ve walked in your shoes. I had to do the same thing, I’m living in America now enjoying my life and making a lot of money. I don’t believe there’s much of a life in Russia anymore. I love the USA, it’s nothing like the propaganda you hear in Russia. Good luck, your going to love your new life and freedom is wonderful!!!!

@@MattandJulia Just be warned that the grass isn't always greener on the other side like we think it's going to be. In attempting to hurt Russia, the west has crippled itself. It hit me hard Julia, when you said that you felt that you didn't give your family members enough hugs and kisses. That's how I feel every day about my mum. I lost her to cancer. I didn't hug her enough or said how much I loved her enough. Thank you for you videos guys.

I've been in this situation myself so many times over the years and my heart broke for you both. Your grandmother was so stoic, as the elderly learn to be, but I could see beneath that, how much she was hurting. When someone's going away, it is always worse for the one who remains behind. But you had precious time with her and parting is the price we have to pay for that sometimes. And that first hug from Matt when you arrived home? Priceless. Absence really does make the heart grow fonder!

@@-TheOracle- sometimes we have to leave the same country many times. Some parts of the world sees a lot of various conflicts that aren’t considered “war” but people die from missiles and rockets and other explosive things you can’t say on KZfaq. 59 days after Joe Biden was elected he returned money to a certain place and 13 days later they waged an unofficial war on my country. Since I have dual citizenship I stayed in america for 7 months. I still had to worry about people I love and care about. I had to leave my home which wasn’t even there when I returned. If this isn’t a reality you know, then feel blessed because you are blessed.

Hi! I found this text unique... The beginning of the First World War 28.07.1914 (28+7+19+14=68) The beginning of the Second World War 01.09.1939 (1+9+19+39=68) The beginning of the Third World War 24.02.2022 (24+2+20+22=68) S. Afgan Predictions of a Russian seer made on February 27, 2022 in the Russian Federation village of Plenizino. Question: What is Putin up to in Ukraine? Answer: This is his most important and last mission, for which he came to this world. Question: Mission? Answer: Yes. Answer: And what is it? Question: Change this world. Question: Why? Answer: The time has come. Question: Why Putin? Answer: They chose it themselves (he pointed up with his hand). Question: Explain? Answer: Higher powers. Question: And who are they? Answer: In Tuva. Question: Why there? Answer: They probably determined the location themselves… Question: And who are the intermediaries? Answer: There are two of them. The strongest shaman of the planet and a lama from Tibet. Question: What are they talking about? Answer: I can't know that. Recently, the transition from the dark age of Pisces to the light age of Aquarius has begun on earth. This is one of the cosmic cycles that lasts for several millennia. The earthly civilization is moving to a new spiritual level, in short… Russia is under the patronage of Aquarius. This country will rule for the next millennia… But it won't happen suddenly. Every year there is an acceleration. Everything will change… Question: Of course, this is all interesting, but what does Ukraine have to do with it? Answer: This is her sacred mission. Ukraine will sacrifice itself for the sake of millions of lives on the whole planet. Question: I'm sorry, I don't understand why Ukraine? Answer: Ukrainians are Russians with a changed mentality. The forces of evil have been actively decomposing them for the last 30 years… And they succeeded. This is their tragic karma for betraying their kind… Question: And who are the "forces of evil"? Answer: Western civilization. Question: It turns out that Putin has declared war on the West? Answer: No. Putin was forced to accept the challenge… It was the West that declared war on Russia in 14. The West organized a coup in Ukraine and allowed the genocide of Russians in the Donbas. Putin tried for 8 years to settle the conflict in the Donbas, Minsk-1 Minsk-2... But he was deceived. Question: Why did Putin announce a special operation on February 24, 2022? Answer: Ukraine has concentrated 170 thousand troops on the border with Donbass and planned an offensive on February 25. Putin understood that Donbass would not stand, hundreds of thousands of people would die... He knew about this in advance, so back in December 21, he put forward an ultimatum to the United States and NATO on security guarantees. The West deliberately chose the path of war, but with the hands of Ukrainians. Question: Why does the West need a war? Answer: This is a dying civilization. The total debt of the USA is 170 trillion dollars, the EU 12 trillion euros. Throughout their history, they have lived at the expense of colonies and wars… Question: It turns out that Putin had no choice but to answer… Answer: Yes. But he was not ready for such a war… Question: What kind of "such a war"? Answer: Fratricidal war. Putin does not yet know how hard this war is being given to him… This is not Crimea, where millions of people gladly accepted the Russian world. It will be a protracted war… The whole world will blindly take the side of Ukraine. This is not a war for Ukraine, but for the global world order! Question: And who will win? Answer: Russia. In the future, Ukrainians will find out the truth and curse America. There will be no such state anymore. Question: When will the war end? Answer: In a year and a half. Question: What about Western civilization, what will happen to it? Answer: It will self-destruct. Irreversible processes are running... Europe will fall first, followed by America. Catastrophic events will occur... Nature itself will punish them. Question: What will happen to Russia? Answer: It will slowly begin to revive, by the age of 35 it will become the strongest and most attractive country to live in… Question: Will there be a war with China? Answer: No. China is expecting a "Great Depression". Question: Will Putin remain president after 2024? Answer: No. Question: Who will become the new president of Russia? Answer: There are already three candidates, one of them is a woman. Who exactly - I have no right to say. Question: Who will be president in the USA? Answer: Trump. But not for a full term. Question: Last question… How do you know all this? Answer: Everything I see is forbidden to voice, but what I have already said, you will be able to check in the near future.

As someone who has the good fortune to live in a stable democracy, I agree with you. There is no reason to criticize someone for failing to assume unimaginable risks to try to stop a dictator. The poor woman has to do her best to exist in 2 separate worlds (1 with her husband and another with the rest of her family) and do so while walking a tightrope between not offending the dictatorial government under which her entire family lives, not offending her English-speaking social media audience, nearly all of whom now utterly despise that government, and then balance both of those considerations against whatever her own feelings are). Anyone as fortunate as I am, to simply live in a free country and have all my family and friends in a free country, where I can simply say whatever I want whenever I want without even having to consider whether my government might retaliate against me or my family or prevent me from seeing my family... the proper response is not judgement because she "should be doing more" to bear a burden I've never had to bear, it's a little damn empathy. For her part, her only moral responsibility in this is to not repeat her govt's propaganda (which I have never seen her do). Other than that, all we can really do is thank Julia (and also Matt) for sharing their story, wish continue to wish them both the best, and hope they don't have to walk that tightrope indefinitely (he's obviously walking a tightrope of his own as an Englishman with a Russian wife and inlaws

It’s especially heartbreaking to be a young adult in this country cuz I really thought we would’ve changed something. That we would be the generation who started the change. Turns out it was long lost before I was even born. And being a child to parents traumatised by USSR and a grandchild to people killed in WW2 and repressed in GULAG, and my ancestors being peasants which were literally slaves, you feel like this world doesn’t let you catch a break. Not a single fucking healthy and happy generation…. I truly believed and saw the change. Now it’s all buried.

My grandparents had to leave Austria during WW2 in 1937, while pregnant with my mother…to come to The United States 🙏🏼❤️💕🇺🇸 it is for this reason, that I am alive at age 53, a second generation American.. And that my mother was born in 1937 on American soil… 100% I would have never been born if my grandparents had not come….nor would my mother. My mother is still doing good at age 85 ❤️💕🙏🏼 All life is precious! There are times in our lives where we must make very difficult, painful decisions to preserve life. My grandparents went on to have a beautiful life after they left their homeland and you can too!! It wasn’t always easy and they worked very, very hard. Even though I know it’s painful to leave your beautiful country and your precious Gran! I miss mine so, so much, she passed in 2005 💔💔 so I love that you share yours with us, it’s very special. ❤️💕🙏🏼 God bless you both (and of course Gran too ❤️💕🙏🏼) Sending Love from Oregon 🇺🇸🌲🌲🇺🇸❤️💕🙏🏼

My great grandparents were Ashkenazi Jews who fled right before world war 1 with my great uncle and great aunt and they never went back to Russia. They made a life for themselves in Montreal where my grandfather was born. My great grandparents didn't speak English or French when they arrived in Canada. My great grandfather was fluent in Russian, Hebrew and Yiddish. I can't imagine how scary and difficult it was for them to leave their land without having family in Canada as my great grandfather's three siblings immigrated to the U.S. This was very heartbreaking to watch, but so happy for you that you left and are able to live a hopefully happier and more peaceful life in Kazakhstan.

I'm not crying, you're crying :...( Such a sad and beautiful video. The look on your Gram's face was heartbreaking to watch. But the look on Matt's face was epic to finally have you at home safe and in his arms, it was a very touching and romantic ending. Whoever made negative comments about you at the time was more than likely jealous because you're able to do what's best for you and the family. No one will ever understand what you and Matt go through, not unless they're in your shoes. But I know all too well what it is to leave family in such a way as when I was in the Army for 28 years, I had to do it a lot. Can't tell you how many times I felt the same emotions as you, Julia. Especially when we had our own war going on then in '03. My first deployment to Iraq was in '03-'04, so leaving my family was insanely tough for me. Anyway, I'm so happy to say that You and Matt are in a GR8 place now and have moved past many obstacles in your life to fulfill your dreams and desires of what this wonderful world can give us, even in rough times, per se. Better late than never to continue catching up and watching all your videos lol. Next year can't come any sooner. Take care and as I say to all my friends...UdoU! Hasta Luego Amigos.

Now.........That was emotional, sadness and happiness all in one. In fact the whole essence of life in a 15 minute video. You also did a very clever thing, maybe unintentionally, but when you said you spoke to many young men leaving Russia because of the draft, but didn't film and didn't politicize it. Something strange happenend, for the first time I had to imagine and think about this and put myself in their shoes (I have been quite judgmental in the past). I came to realise that not wanting to die on a battlefield, does not mean that you don't love your country. We are all one, what we should be doing is bringing down the system all over the world that creates this. Nothing has changed for thousands of years, people are dying at the whim of 'elites' around the world, just to give them more power and wealth. We should not be divided, we should be united.

I think your Granny is tough as nails. I love that she 'eyeballs' ingredients when she cooks and probably doesn't even need a recipe any more.

I visited Russia many times. Last winter, I was fortunate enough to spend 3 months there. When I left on February 5th, I was crying because I did not want to leave this amazing and beautiful country. Couple weeks later, I cried much more when I saw the direction the events took. Moscow has the most amazing museums in the world. St-Petersburg is just spectacular. So many other cities are so fascinating. I ran the ice marathon in Omsk in January, I traveled on the Trans Siberian train. I LOVE RUSSIA! Just imagine one second what the country could have done with all the money spent on the special operation to open up to the world and let westerners see how gorgeous Russia is. Imagine all the good the president could have done for its people with that money... So sad. Julia, I hear you too well and I grieve with you. I can't wait to go back but I am afraid it will be years and years...

It's not like all westerners hate Russia, y'know. Most are smart enough to know that it's the government that's insane, not the people.

If you love Russia just try to find out causal reasoning of this tragedy without blaming one person. There are lots of information in English from English speaking experts

Unfortunately, the reality is that it's the other way around, but the mainstream media refuses to cover it. It's not Russia that has a problem receiving visitors. I'm visiting Russia this December with my family. They're actively encouraging people to come to the country.

@Bri Ba Obviously we all want the war to end. But as to your point about what people "with a conscience" will or won't do, well, the war in Ukraine is the last rabbit hole I want to get into, especially in the KZfaq comment section, but I'm just glad a lot of truths are finally coming out regarding this war in spite of Western government propaganda and mainstream media's attempts to suppress realities on the ground.

@@sovereigndeleon The reality is that russia started the war, unprovoked and will lose the war. The whole world is fed up of russian fascists.

Not in danger of rocket attacks. Not in danger of being bombarded. You have reason to complain. I wonder who might have a bigger reason to flee his country, oh wait .....

Seems like you're alluding to kids in Donetsk being killed daily by Ukrainian weapons delivered by NATO?
