I bought my TaoTao in 2015, and it's been serving me very well. Still going strong at 7K (actual miles), with no mechanical related issues at all. Hopefully this one will treat you well, like mine has. The key is to never thrash it, and take really good care of it! A Honda (or name brand scooter) will break down as well if you abuse it.

@@123peewizzy Personally, I change my oil every 1,500 miles. But be sure to check the level occasionally, cause you might need to add a little oil during break-in period. And yep, my handle bar lock works! What you do is turn your wheel all the way to the left, and then hold it down while you're locking it.

Nice scoot. You've been recommended. I have an old 2010 50cc I ride all the time. I've had three gy6 50's. They are definitely a lot of fun. Ride like you are invisible and go easy on the front brake. Get yourself a lock asap. Don't rely on the ignition or steering lock to stop someone. For $20-$40 you can protect your investment. Welcome to the club. If you have questions don't hesitate to ask.

@@123peewizzy Oh ok. Anytime someone gets a bike I recommend a lock because a 5th grader could brake one of those steering locks.

I love my tao tao pony 2022, same color as yours. ❤ at first I was a little scared about riding it on the roads but now It's soooo fun. Love summer time weather, I Cruz all over the town on my off time.

Congrats on your scooter, Sister. But be very careful on it, please! If you are gonna commute on it, at the least, have it de-restricted to go above 35 mph. At the most (best option), get a 70 cc big bore kit (much more power, speed). You can do either one, very easily, yourself. Also, it's called a moped because so many people don't know the difference. A moped is a MOtor bike with PEDals. Not sure how so many people think a "scooter" is a "moped". Clearly not, ya dig? Be safe!

Some steaks you don’t need to register all you need is a drivers license to drive it, so what you’re saying is your scooter you have to a title license plate and a motorcycle license. If I buy it or order it I have to go to the DMV to get it registered. It depends on the state now you may have to get in some states. This license plate will cost $10 a year just switch it up.

Nice scooter I dig it I bough my 50cc scooter last year in july of 2020 today is july of 2021 so yeah it's been 1 full year I put 9,000 kilometers on it and its still running good so far so good ride safe ok ....!👍

One or thee other sorry I really dont remember exactly which one it was ..? I'm gonna recommend you to check out a WSDCAM on Amazon it's a motion sensor alarm you stick on anywhere on your scooter I placed mine underneath the front plastic fairing this little motion sensor alarm will give you peace of mind while parking at stores or if you leave your scooter outside at night like I do if anyone or anything taps your scooter it will sound a warning if its touched again it will sound off until you come out with your key fob alarm on and off switch it's a must have for under $20.00 bucks you cant beat it if you want to see a video of a wsdcam sensor alarm being set up and used I have a video titled install of a motion sensor alarm the wsdcam !😁👍sorry for writing you a book here you enjoy the rest of your day ok nice chatting with you ..!🙂

Don't leave gas in it over the winter and keep the battery charged.

@@123peewizzy Add a gas drain valve and line. A simple Tee that leads to a line hanging. Then you put it on the squarestand and run it a minute to clear the carburetor. The carburetor may have it's own drain. The battery connected is fine. A smart charger now n then is good or just hook up a mini solar charger like once a month. The kind that car dealers use.
