This art reminds me more of Southern mantis in the way it uses it short ging force.

ILC has it's roots in the hakka arts. Southern mantis is also hakka. =)

Hi Higgs, I have a question whether you have experienced the electric like eel like nei gong energy in martial arts? Cause up until now I liq quantum doesn't talk or show this demonstration... Like John Chang from Java from mo pai school etc. I Respect your videos and want to know.

Hey Ashe, I took some workshops and Vimeo was completely lost. I have experience in other arts but I got lost in the terminology and what I felt was over complicated language. I’ve tried to follow master chin but again I have no idea what he is talking about. Cheers. Do you offer Skype sessions?

Nice demo! Can I ask why the breathing is loud when you do the winding energy release? Thank's again!

Wudang Principles Québec you need to breathe out strong to stiffen and "pulse" the diaphragm so that for a split second upper and lower body are fully unified to transfer the whole body power.

Good to see you point of view. It's make sense. As you know there is many view on the breathing when releasing power.

Wudang Principles Québec yes, of course. My goal is just to share ILC point of view with those who may want to join me on that journey, but of course there are many points of view (it's one of the things we talk about in ILC philosophy actually). :)

Yes of course FOCUS on your art is the main thing! I focus on Baji chuan but also explore the diversity of chinese boxing. Glad to find your chanel one of the rare gem on youtube.

Is it an actual energy or is it just a feeling that you try to feel in your body ?
@fallingleaveskungfu
@fallingleaveskungfu 9 жыл бұрын
+sting sting - depends on how you want to look at it. for practical purposes you can just say it's the feeling.

Where did iliqchuan originate? Yang style taiji? It looks very similar to Yi Quan

No, my Sijo learned several arts from different masters in Malaysia. The core of ILC comes from GM Lee Kam Chow who taught the spinning and sticky hand techniques to Sijo, but we're not 100% sure if it was two arts (feng yang xing yi and ruyi bagua) or if it was all one art called feng yang ru yi. In any case GM Chin Lee Keong only taught the core of what he learned and got rid of any fluff, so it didn't really look like any of the traditional arts he learned of other masters so they started calling it I Liq Chuan in the 70s and the name stuck.

there is no such a thing as a spiral force in physics

multiple rotational forces on different planes effectively create a spiraling type of force.

No offense sir but a 5 year old child would be able to break your board. I challenge you to redo the video and use 3 one inch pine boards together. Any karate brown belt worth their salt would have no problem breaking them. Just saying
@fallingleaveskungfu
@fallingleaveskungfu 5 жыл бұрын
It's just meant as a minimum threshold. I was considering accepting your challenge, but I don't believe it would be possible to set up three boards from all six directions. In any case, mostly these would be used to attack the opponents hands, so you don't need a huge amount of force to damage the hands.

Difference is, in sport karate they do use high amplitude strikes to break stuff as opposed to one-inch power here. If on the other hand you mean Okinawan styles - you can't say "any brown belt" as if it's nothing.Brown belt in Goju or Shorin is legit, just as good as an Iliqchuan instructor ;)
