That does not surprise me. As a resident of New Mexico, I can honestly say we deal with strong winds, drastically hourly changing weather, blazing temperatures of 115 degrees in the Summer and freezing temperatures of -16 in the winter. We can be at 75 degrees on Tuesday and be 9 degrees on Wednesday in the winter. We get hail the size of golf balls, tornados that show up very quickly, and winds so strong that some days you just don't go outside, for risk of being knocked over. The only weather that really affects us? Flooding, we have horrible drainage systems, but we also live 5,700 feet above sea level. Also humidity, we are a very dry state, humidity is freaking weird to us. So I think this is quite accurate.
