AN ECCENTRIC Frenchman lives with SEVEN lions and tigers right outside his front door - and he looks after them on his own. For the last 27 years, 68-year-old Remy Demantes has owned a private rescue sanctuary for big cats, taking care of the injured animals and treating them as pets. Residing in Ouzouer-sur-Loire, France, Remy fell in love with exotics in 1986 when he saw the close bond his friend had with his domesticated panther - inspired by their relationship, Remy decided to build upon his current property and make sure his home was at the centre of his animals. Fast-forward to 2018 and Remy could not imagine life without his beloved pets, spending hours each day hand-feeding them, taking them for walks and generally kissing and cuddling their furry coats.

When you have to lock up big cats to save them from going extinct, you know something is wrong. I think the lion looks desperate for company. The whole thing is sad, very sad.

It's kinda sad. The living conditions of that lion. The cage needs to be 100% bigger

Hopefully some great professionals will watch this video and reach out to help this man who clearly has a loving heart but needs SO MUCH assistance/guidance/knowledge in Every aspect of having these animals. That would be something great that could come out of this.

He needs to find someone to train. He will not be well 24/7 and what will happen to them if he has a stroke and can't move or talk or worse.

This guy won't last too long around these big cats with that stick in his hand. Seem like it would make them very uncomfortable.

He needs to greet his Tigers correctly, they chuff to greet each other.. That poor little lioness badly needs another lion to play with. Lions are the only gragarious cats, and thrive when living within a pride. Even if it's only a, couple of lionesses. You can see how desperate she is for company..

It's good that he's doing this but like the others I have the same thing to say the pens are not big enough for them and .. what the others are saying is true what will happen if u r too old or something and there is no one to take care of them?
