My blood is boiling right about now. 30-year tenure or not, the receptionist who used the N word should be fired immediately. It was completely uncalled for and disrespectful. When will these unworthy public servants learn? Going to watch again in order to get this woman's name and title so I can call and demand this woman's resignation or termination. In my town I believe 40% of the population work in feelings/law enforcement and another 30% work in government. Most of the vehicles in my town have government tags. Every other vehicle is a cop car. In our little town of around 5,000 we have assault and bomb vehicles. Everyone from out of town says something about the amount of cops we have on the road. Worst part is they don’t teach our officers our laws

I keep asking him the same question! What's the end game? We get it and you say it's about education, so develop a curriculum to teach public officials how to engage with the public. Auditors should have an end game in mind as far as how to improve the services and engagement with the public.

@@alanquinn4842 there’s a guy named Sean at “long island audit” who actually does do trainings with police departments but as far as TTA all I can say is he seems like a very calculated person so I’m sure he has a end goal of some sort. And overall I think auditing is kind of new to a lot of people so they’ll probably develop a plan as they go

I was around back in the late 80s and 90s when black MEN started using this term especially in rap music and arguing that it was different from the n-word with a hard "r" on the end and was not racist and was even a term of endearment when used by one Black person to another. Again, it was black MEN who led the charge in using this word. Black people have to decide if this word is okay or if it is not.

Actually, Illinois is the only judicial system in the country that has exempted itself from FOIA because they are not specifically named in the legislation. Even for general budget and personnel info. There are attempts to change the law but it hasn't happened yet as far as I know.

I appreciate the fact that you come and do things in person. Alot of places try and push you to do things online. But people like me would much rather do a lot of things in person. I can definitley do it online, but I like the old school way , also Online sometimes websites dont work, they crash , or it may even be more difficult to navigate. So im glad you remind them that in person is still an option. Keep doing what you doing.

that's the problem in this day and age just because there's internet they think that they can just tell you to do it online. not everyone has a computer and the website on your phones internet isn't easy to navigate. they want you to do it online so they don't have to do it. I think that in most states that it would be a law that guarantees that you can fill out public records request

Brother, your approach for an auditor is beyond amazing! You're so nice, calm and inviting. You are the king! Thank you for doing audits in Illinois. The guy was sort of right: the probation records have been determined to be judicial records exempt under IL FOIA. But once you explained that you were looking for records regarding the employees rather than looking for probation records, he should have understood the distinction. If you give him a request for records about employees in the probation department, they should accept it and forward it to the county clerk (not the same as clerk of the circuit court; the circuit clerk is different from the county clerk).
