Met Jesse Davis on the street one day during my small stint in NYC as a student. We both had our instrument cases and had a smoke and I asked him for advice. He told me something I will never forget “Two words: Just Hang.”

one of the finest natural sounds on any alto sax his technique is mind altering, very close sound to juliant the king of modern day saxes his intonation and phrasing wow land of make believe
