I’m 17, and i was always looking for love . When I found Jesus it was a whole different experience. I didn’t have to show anything or beg for love . He purely loved me , even though I was filled with sin. I will never fathom how beautiful Jesus’s love is .

Searching for the love of men or women to fill the void in your soul will only lead to disappointment , no one is made to fill that space only the Lord God..call upon the name of Jesus and surrender your life to him and He will renew you and you will have everything in the right priority. Beautiful testimony and exactly what I'm discovering as a man. I've been idolizing, and looking for validation in women; often in the wrong way. And when I have had a relationship, at the first sign that maybe they will reject me, I'm usually first to break it off as a way to protect myself from failing or rejection. But looking back, those very relationships had nothing wrong with them. I was the common denominator in these failed relationships. I was running away not from them but from fear. In fact many of those women were just beautiful people, they could have been great as a wife for me. I love your quote: "The only one that can satisfy the human heart, is the one who created it". No matter how dark you go into your sins and your struggle to overcome your love for things other than God, He will win in the end. At the end of my 2020, God gave me this gift. Nubia Brown That is a good testimony. Thank you for sharing it. It seems to me to be a clear reflection of your journey to faith in Jesus. I can truly identify with your story because I too experienced a similar journey to faith in Jesus, albeit the other way around for me. It was a woman and not a man. To be able to authentically live our lives in true freedom, what would be required of us is to completely surrender our lives to God. You communicated that very well indeed. However, for most of us, if not all of us, that usually happens gradually over a period of time, as we become more and more aware of our hearts' hidden motivations. What usually happens is that we replace one idol with another not too dissimilar to the original or at the very least one which acts in ways similar to the original, namely to hide the true conditions of our hearts because the feeling of having them exposed leaves us feeling vulnerable and insecure. That feeling is threatening to us. We want to therefore keep any potential rejection and consequential pain that we fear we would experience in our vulnerable state away from us. You see, what we want to feel is loved and not fearful, and so we try very hard to keep the vulnerable conditions of our hearts hidden lest we experience any negative repercussions, which we believe we could experience by having them exposed. So what needs to happen is that we become courageous enough to face with complete honesty each one of those God given revelations of the conditions of our hearts. The example that you gave of such a revelation in your own life came because of a friend of yours pointing you toward 1 Corinthians 10:13. Only when God reveals to us what is going on in our hearts, and we are ready to courageously face the reality that is revealed to us with complete honesty before God, will we experience true freedom. It is only when we truly confess our need for God and humbly surrender our hearts to him in repentance and trust that we are set free. So, even though everything you have said in the above video is correct, for I cannot negate anything that you have said, and I would love it to be true, but I am left wondering whether it is completely and utterly true in your life. No doubt you have come a long way, and I rejoice in that, and I praise God for it. But unfortunately the reality is that there is no one on Earth who is completely free or whole / complete. It is only when the knowledge of the truth i.e. Jesus is revealed to our hearts, or in other words when we see him for who he really is that one is truly made whole and complete - see 1 Corinthians 13:8-12. So, with that in mind, even though you say that you are aware of how easily we can make the affection, acceptance or the attention of, and ultimately the love of a "special someone" other than God into an idol, and that you did that yourself in at least a couple of occasions. I wonder if you are aware of whether you have placed another barrier in place to enable you to feel "safe" enough to face the world and thereby feel “lovable” enough in it. Let me ask you, in the above video, apart from what you communicated verbally - perfectly I might add - what other underlying message did you also communicate about yourself, which at least to my eyes, you also revealed about yourself? God will bless you in your pursuit of him and faithfully complete his work in you (Philippians 1:6) by making you into the image of his Son and make you glorious is him (Romans 8:28-30).

He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, and with that temptation he will provide a way out.” Notice he says temptation, not troubles or trails.

Wow this was amazing. I feel bad for people who have been hardended by "preach you down" messages. If you have been victimized by that go to a discipleship focused group or take a break from large corporate meetings. And donate to a few charity ministries. And build that one on one time back again with God. Bad ministers and bad institutions are some of the elephants in the room when it comes to religion.
