The title says it all! I searched 200,000 pennies over the past two years and here are the final results. I originally did 100,000 and decided to double up to do an incredible experiment. We really did find unbelievable things, from tokens minted during the Civil War due to a coin shortage at the time to a 1936 penny with a mint error that makes it about a $100 coin. It also took a really long time, but I enjoy the hunt and thought it would be something super cool to release to everyone on KZfaq and document our change and an awesome aspect of our monetary system that not many people really think about. I hunted for wheat pennies, Indian Head Cents, Flying Eagle pennies, Canadian coins, proofs, and more. Didn't find all of them - full disclosure - but had lots of interesting things for sure.
