Good day! "Sills solo" I believe is referencing Beverly Sills who was an opera singer, and a solo song in an opera can be called an "aria" - pronounced 'ahh-ree-uh.

The la Brea tar pits is an area in los angeles where prehistoric animals were stuck and preserved in tar. Cool place right in the middle of los angeles

There's an idiom to say that you're 'at loose ends' meaning you don't know what to do with yourself, hence idle, great video!

Sill's Solo refers to the opera singer Beverly Sills singing an Aria. I met her at her book signing decades ago, she was also known as "bubbles."

To be "at a loose end" is to have nothing to do, so you'd be idle.

Loved the sound of the pen on the paper. Such a subtle noise. It's funny how crosswords use a lot of the same words, just the clues might change slightly.

34:04 Regarding "at loose ends", I looked it up because I was curious lol. I guess it refers to "idle" sailors waiting to check for loose ends of rope on the boat. Therefore, "Idle" sailors are at the "loose ends" of the rope. "To be at a loose end means to have nothing to do. It is a nautical term, which refers to a time when a ship's captain would task idle sailors (i.e., those with nothing to do) with checking the ends of rigging ropes to ensure none had come loose."

As far as I know aria is a piece of music meant for one singer in 'classical'music. As part of opera etc.
