Crimson Moon is the second to last Royal Dynasty of Khaenri'ah, which created the original "House of Hearth" (which may have had a different name) and was focused on Alchemy and Khemia So, I really, really want her to meet Dain/Kaeya. Maybe (copium) they'll meet next patch?

freminent was the first of the 3 to join the fatui but he was still younger than them as he joined after cervie died but before crucebena died lyney and lynette joined a few months after crucebenas death meaning that when arllecchino came to power friement was already apart of the house of the hearth and lyney and lynette joined shortly after

This quest makes me remember the original of the phrase: "Blood is thicker than water." The original is: "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb." Literally the opposite of what people interpret it as. The bonds we choose to forge are more valuable than the bonds we have through birth.

So the part about Freminet and the former Knave is in his Character Story, starting with #4. he also has voicelines about "Mother" as well.

I really like how the devs keep adding in more small and cute dialogue animations. the triplets fist bump, lyney bumping lynettes arm with his fists, arlecchinos counting.. it makes the quest feel much smoother and i hope they'll put this much attention into more quests in the future

How do you expect Freminet to connect the dots lol. There's no plot hole. He was only with the old Knave a couple months as a little kid, and he literally said none of that shit was happening when he joined. He just found out now when Arle explained it to the three of them after. To him the old Knave was just some random foster parent he had for a couple months and again he was a very young child.

i can see why freminet said that he didnt notice anything happening like that during his time with the previous knave. We must remember that "Mother" raises the children by pretending to be kind and warm towards them while manipulating them, so freminet was still new at that time, so obviously he wouldnt notice anything suspicious especially since he was only under the care of "Mother" for only a few months.

About the Freminet plot hole: based on what they were saying I think before the two weeks in Poisson people only saw her around the place sometimes or heard her voice, but they didn’t have full-on conversations with her until Poisson

Btw about the fit thing you remember the "completely useless" graphics update a couple patches ago yeah that was the preparation for this they reworked all old files reducing the storage while decreasing the graphic quality by a negligible percent due to that update Thats why childe was looking different to you

No, Freminet is not older than Lyney and Lynette. He was "adopted" earlier, but they were "adopted" older. And we already knew he was in the House under Crucabena's rule. It's been in his character stories from the start.

For Freminet not connecting dots between Clervie and Crucabena, it's explained in the penguin event and his character story. When he was young, he used fairy tales to cope and he had two specific characters: Pers the Penguin and Princess Marcotte. Princess Marcotte was a young girl with long pink hair and often looked through windows. That's clearly Clervie's flame/ghost. He thought she was merely a character in his fairy tale. It wasn't until the incident when Clervie told him about the orphan who was poisoned that it clicked for him "Princess Marcotte could be more than my imagination". He kept her hidden and investigated on his own. Also: Clervie only used "Mother" with Traveller once. She's consistent when using the title "Knave" and Paimon said that she was in a trance when she switched to "Mother". She never said that title with Freminet, Lyney or Lynette. I'm sure they would've questioned "Mother" but the scenario never occurred with them.

Okay, to clear up the "plothole" that has been mentioned. Clervie has never mentioned "mother" to anyone but the player. In 50:49 She actually uses "The Knave" so that's the way she usually addresses her. She also only mentions the House's secrets and says the "Higher Ups" are not as nice as they seem. She doesn't want to say too much because she believes that no one will believe her (which was her whole experience since only Peruere knows about the House's secrets). It's only because Paimon decided to ask her why she feels that way about the House, so they can be on the same page that she actually mentioned "Mother". And it was to say how Crucabena would act like a mother (telling stories to children, ect.) but can't be trusted. Everyone else just either trusted her words or chose not to believe and never really asked why she would say that. It is stupid that Paimon picked up on "Mother" being suspicious but decided to forget and never mentions it again because it would have cleared up the whole situation and Freminet would have known but Paimon have never been known to be reliable anyways. I would say it's a stupid plot device because the MC is stupid than a plothole. (But to be fair, Arlecchino is a woman so they had SOME reason to kind of ignore "Mother" though it is still stupid because literally everyone in the House calls her "Father")

Some character quests suffer from not focusing on the character but instead some rando npc that the plot revolves around and the character needing your aid to fix the problem. Thankfully this focused all apsects of Arlecchino.

Two things: arlecchino was there the entire time, like the fucking phantom of the opera, inside their minds; and tbh would you remember a detail like the word used for parent if you slept only 2 hours? Father being a woman is only normal to the house children, everyone else suffers from that prejudice arlecchino mentioned and when someone refers to her as mother its only weird bc we know who shes referring to. Anyone else would let the pattern brain take over (speaking broadly ofc), and paimon and the traveler are no exceptions. Arlecchino herself said that she doesnt clear up SHIT about FUCK, too because the rumours abt her help her with her job so u kno. She wouldnt correct outsiders on the whole father/mother thing either.

Honestly one of the top 3 character quest thus far. Not only was Arlecchino’s story flushed out but also the hearth family as well. I will say though, they honestly should’ve made her Animation short a cutscene/flashback after the boss fight, and then posted it on KZfaq a week later. Whether you’ve watched the animation short before or after playing the story quest makes a huge difference.

Not sure if someone mentions it in the stream chat but im pretty sure there is no upper age limit to the house of the hearth. In one of the sumeru desert quests you meet a pyro gunner who is a member of the house of the hearth and the woman who dies during the arlecchino's demo looked to be an adult too.

Yo Cy, don't forget that Freminet had that whole thing with "loneliness syndrome" going on- maybe the reason he didn't link things is because at the time he joined the House he was in lala land I mean ofc you forgot lol but it was explained during the "Thelxie's Fantastic Adventure" event- basically a huge metaphor for mental health issues were sufferers retreat into fantasy worlds so hard they can't tell reality from fiction. One reason why he's so unsure of himself all the time

Deam Arlekino really is something. But I want to note, the Traveler is also did great, without using elements, only with a 3* toothpick and pure physical strength he brought Arlecchino to her phase 2

He didn't question her properly because he felt it was a sensitive topic. It does seem like he has an idea but just because we saw the animated short and know what happened doesn't mean Freminet does too. He was a little child and it's not like he would know everything about the house few months after joining. And while certain questions and discussions could have been made, it was generally done for the plot. They should have released the animated short after her story quest then we wouldn't be acting so confident.

The house of the Hearth doesn't seem to have that age limit thing. A lot of the Fatui we've met have been from there, and they certainly look over 18

In regards to the issues with the timeline, He said he didn't start to properly interact with Cleirve until they came to Poisson. And I feel the conflict was more about the members of the House who wanted to leave, rather than Cleirve's whole thing.

I believe part of the plot hole you mentioned was cause the short shows that Arlecchino kills Crucabena directly after killing Clervie and there was no "year time gap" where Freminet could have joined

I thought the plot hole was simple. Her spirit recently started to appear in the last few months and as Lyney/ Fremi told us, when he tried explaining that she was dead Clervie ignored or didn't understand what was being said. Also she would hide from the Knave. So my conclusion was that she would help Fremi but would appear confused when asked questions from time to time, which is why Fremi didn't much about her.

The way Arlecchino really just put the traveler in their place. One can only imagine How powerful the next 3 are, considering that they can literally rival gods in terms of power

He would still be in early stages of training or still under the illusion that it was a nice orphanage. Arlecchino burned all of the files from crucabena's time so there was no way to research either. As for the father vs mother debaucle i assume it's only a plothole outside of china due to the pronounciation issue

I took Furina, Yanfei, Arle and Xianyun to the fight (My Arle was lv40)... and everyone but Fei were death by phase 2... i don't know how... but she managed to tank enought of her attacks to finish the quest fight. To be fair, i was a little bussy taking screenshots during the fight and tabbing out of the game by accident White doing so, but still.

If Freminet joined at age 4yrs old and Arlechinoo was age 17 at that time, there's 13 yrs gap between their age. So now Freminet is age 17yrs old, Arlechinoo might be 30 or 31yrs old. Hope this theory can clear the confusion.

Just thinking about everything in this quest in terms of a timeline... I don't know how old Fremine and Lyney/Lynette were when joining the House, but going by the shortest timeframes available, Arlecchino could be 22 or so at the youngest. She burnt all of Crucabenas files and records, hence only 5 years of records existing. She killed Crucabena at 17, and I presume it took only days for her to be pardoned and given the title of Knave and made a Harbinger. So of course, it's possible Arlecchino has only known the children since their teen years
