When I do my backgrounds I never know when to stop; it's so much fun! Really like how this piece turned out. Like the thin and thick line contrast.

I have the same problem, haha. Sometimes defining when I want to just practice vs actually creating a piece helps me decide when to stop.

I try not to buy materials until something runs out - but I think I need to start dotting with somethung other than a pen. I'll look around and see what I have in stock first 😊

I do the same. I happened to have the dotting tools laying around and thought I'd give it a try, not thinking I would love them so much 😆 they are by far my favorite dotting tools atm. The back of a brush might work as well?

Grazie! Search Pavel Piskarev on KZfaq, I believe he is the originator, or coined the term Neurographica. Everything I learned about it I found on KZfaq and then I make it my own style 😊

This is stunning! Do you use the high flow acrylics diluted (with a bit of water)? What colors are you using for the background? I really love your work🥰

Thank you! These were regular acrylics. I used just a small amount and diluted them with water until they were flowing enough. But you could use the high flow ones, if that's what you use. I think I used burnt sienna, magenta and pink, but I don't have the colors in front of me atm. I hope this helps!

How much do you dilute the acrylic paint please?

I don't have a formula. I squeezed a little bit into that bottle and then diluted it with water until I got a flowing consistency. Some of the colors didn't flow as much and so I kept adding more water until I was happy.
