I remember right after I got sick many many years ago with chronic fibromyalgia and had to stop working. I decided to buy myself the complete entire” I❤️ Lucy” series, since I knew I’d be needing something to cheer me up! Then when COVID hit and everyone went into lockdown, my partner and I would watch it and we’d laugh and laugh! It was so special, spending that time together. Now I’m dealing with loss and grief, at my partners sudden passing,,, 😓and I break out the I Luv Lucy once again..... of the best investments ever!!

@@kjricardo249 Thank you so much! I sure hope everyone who worked on the show realized just what their show meant and still means to people. I remember my favorite aunt, came down with pancreatic cancer and we’d watch I ❤️ Lucy with her cuz it was her favorite show! She was in her teens-twenties when the show originally aired, and she loved everything about it. She used to say, “The only thing bad about I Love Lucy, is the fact that it ended.” Lol 😆 It was one of my partner and my favorite shows to watch together. Along with The Golden Girls, and The Simpsons, and South Park. Thank you so much for your kind words. ❤️🍿

I love this episode. It may not be one of the ones people would pick for their Top 10 list, but I love the scene in the hat shop with Madge Blake and when Lucy pretends to call the shop the next day, hangs up the phone after asking for their "fastest, speediest delivery" and the doorbell rings the second she hangs up the phone. I can watch that over and over and over again.

rtususian Yes, this is one of my favorite episodes! Some people don’t like it, but it’s a classic to me. I agree with you. The “fastest speediest delivery” scene is hilarious to me, too!

Love this. ..especially Ethel reducing lovely Turquoise to an " ordinary shade of blue" ---And the door bell at the time Lucy hangs up phone is just too hiliarious, this show had the best writers ! Wish you would have included Ricky's Spanish mimicking of the ventriloquist and the puppet... more hilarious magic moments. Thank you for uploading.. Great intro too.

That turquoise hat must be beautiful and with pearls too and Lucy would look so pretty with it. I wish women would wear hats and dress the way they did back then.

Has anyone ever noticed that the prices of her hats and dresses were quite expensive!? If someone were to calculate them to what the current prices would be in 2020, they would be extremely expensive!

Madge Blake! I didn't make the Aunt Harriet from Batman connection until I read that comment. She was very good in her sales performance. I also enjoyed the observation about the prices for Lucy's hats and gowns. The $49.50 hat would be hundreds, and Don Loper's tweed would be thousands! The Ricardos had taste and style, and always looked their best. Love them. Fun video.

For a while several years ago people would compare THE HONEYMOONERS with I LOVE LUCY. For me, I Love Lucy beats The Honeymooners hands down, simply because for me the Honeymooners was such a depressing show! They were really poor while the Ricardos were middle class and then I believe when they moved to that massive home in Connecticut they became upper middle class.

Yes me too. Since pandemic hit I have been watching a lot of t.v.. made me angry coz now Lucy no longer on hallmark, maybe in September she will return

Ricky shouldn’t have made Lucy take the hat back or Lucy should have just sent Ethel to take it back. If the bet was for Lucy NOT to buy a hat the hat store was the last place to send her.
