I have a 04 Deville Put a new starter and spark plugs were replaced 5k miles ago but it cracks when it starts up it’s never a crisp start what do you think the problem is ?

Arp head studs for pre 2005 also fixes the head gasket issue... Also don't let it overheat and that wouldn't be a problem as well

@@stevenherrera2635 you have to google “Cadillacs and Buicks with northstar V8’s” certain years are better than others so you’ll have to do a lil research based on your style and price you’re willing to pay as well as to see which models are most reliable!!

If you redo your 02 sensors that may help I have a northstar straight pipe and it turned on the ol’ engine light

My check engine light never came on 😳. I just had the mufflers and resonator deleted

If you dummy out the sensor it will assume nothing is wrong. There many ways do this. Tinfoil being one trick but there are multiple ways to cap off a sensor. They also make dummy o2 sensors that read good but don't actually read anything.

I'm a Cadillac person , no way a DTS should sound like that... I've owned one for 10 years, I drive an 88 Brougham now... the rumble is ok on the older cars, or maybe a CTS V... not on those.

Go to a local exhaust shop and tell them to cut the rear mufflers off and straight pipe it. It should be fairly inexpensive as well.
