@@jsmithers. you're not getting it, not only was it his next to last movie, it was Venom, no one would expect him to show up here, the Wolverine movies, Ghost Rider and Punisher 2003 were Marvel too but he didn't show up there So a Marvel movie doesn't automatically make it a guarantee he'll appear

@@demonic_myst4503 Venompool is from an alternate earth, so I'm fairly sure it's not the same symbiote. The venom symbiote went to Eddie Brock next from its first host, Peter Parker.

Venom started out as a villain when it bonded with Peter Parker and when it took over Eddie Brock when both wanted revenge. Afterwards both ended up becoming anti heros.

Well technically venoms purpose is to be a hero and help make people into heros by bonding with them, but they are easily corrupted. That's why venom is evil, he was doing good when he bonded with spider man but he would make him go out at night and fight crime and it was asking Peter tired so he got rid of venom and then venom attached to Eddie who had just lost his job because of spider man and was diagnosed with cancer and his girlfriend broke up with him. So when venom bonded with Eddie he became corrupted and they both decided to get revenge on Spiderman because as you know Eddie lost his job because of him and venom felt rejected. Sorry for the long comment

As much as I do want a happy ending for Eddie and Annie... I love Dan so much. He is truly a great caring guy. He didn't get jealous bc Eddie is her ex, he immediately wanted to help him and took him in as his patient and tried to help Eddie get rid of the parasite, he trusted Annie fully. He's just truly great and it is a refresher from seeing all the new bf feeling threatened by the ex

So, fun fact. In the comics, Riot was sorta Venom's kid. Sorta. The Life Foundation technically took a part of Venom and used it to create multiple man-made symbiotes. One of them is Riot. Another fun fact: Venom likes to eat chocolate, which it hinted at in the end when he says he wants "chicken... and chocolate!!!". What the film doesn't go into is the reason he likes chocolate. It explains in the comics that there is a chemical that can be found in chocolate that is also found in... human brains. So he eats the chocolate in place of brains lol.

Taking Peter Parker out the story line, allows Eddie to be developed, as a character. Once Eddie/Venom is established. You can bring in Spider-man to the stories, and have a lot of different interactions between the two characters. Bring on Spider-man, Venom and Deadpool together!

In the comics, there was a limited series called Venom: The Madness, which ended with Venom sort of splitting off it's most evil and bloodthirsty traits into other symbiotes, which found compatible host-matches in various lunatics. This was further explored in the series "Maximum Carnage."

It's not a pandemic or a disease, the symbiote is just one entity that feeds on a host if it's not a match but if it is a match then it binds itself to that host.

@@doomslayer1210 well thats how I remember it atleast, some symbiotes in the comics can be revived by different methods, either forcing them to regrow or reactivating symbiote codex (aka the host and/or symbiotes spirit). Even in the comics, Eddie still had small traces of the venom symbiote inside his blood stream that were not active, but then someone reactivated them and recreated a symbiote (I know its not exact but that still means traces of a symbiote can still be inside of the hosts even after it either left ot died)

@@jsmithers. seriously tho, even carnage, the symbiote was bonded to his blood thanks to an open wound, so even if the symbiote is destroyed, he can regrow it back cuz its part of his blood stream, the only way to destroy carnage is to kill the host himself

Woody Harrelson is playing the serial killer Cletus Kasady. His Symbiote’s name is Carnage. He’s formed from a mix of the Symbiote and his blood -hence the red color- and they are so in-sync that he doesn’t say “We are Carnage.” They actually say “I am Carnage.”

It wasn't improv, it just wasn't in the script. When he was touring the set for the restaurant, he saw the lobster tank and said he should climb into it for the scene, so the set designers had to reinforce it ahead of filming, because otherwise it wouldn't be stable enough for him to climb into.

@@hellsgate09 no, it's not. There is a difference. It would be improv if he had done it off the cuff while filming the scene. But Tom made the decision to get in the tank days before filming began. The crew had to reinforce the tank so it wouldn't break when he climbed in. Climbing in the tank was not part of the script, but it was not an improvisational decision made in the moment. Unscripted, not improv.

I always knew the internet was a ton of misinformation and self righteous opinions, but I reached my limit and learned to never listen to the internet ever again when I found out most people hated this movie. I fuxking love this movie and it taught me that others opinions literally mean nothing. Who cares. Love what you love.

In the comics venom changes host multiple time, he turns spider-man into an anti-hero, Eddie Brock's venom is pure evil (he even eats children) and then venom switch to Flash Thomson (Peter Parker's bully) who becomes good and joins the guardians of the galaxy

Just for context Cletus Cassidy is a serial killer... So imagine deadly symbiote combined with a killer, in the comics Carnage is ridiculously difficult to beat, one of the few who have succeeded in taking him down is Deadpool

@@throwacnt7603 I finally watched it for the first time and it was amazing. I wasn't really into the Electra arc in Season 2, but the writing was so damn good. Season 3 was chef's kiss. I wish Netflix didn't cancel because I really want a Season 4.

I'm glad this movie set up their dynamic nicely by the end. In recent comics they're a couple (as in Eddie and Venom say "I love you" to each other)

One thing that I would love to see is a Spiderman movie with Venom and Carnage in it. In the comics, Venom and Carnage are both bad guys that Spiderman has to deal with. The crazy thing about Carnage is that he's so evil and strong that there are times where Venom and Spiderman actually team up to stop Carnage.
