His brothers were always his friends who were the most loyal. And while I completely understood rollo’s motivations, he definitely wasn’t loyal to his family really at all. Ragnars closest friends were loyal to his family, especially his sons so they always filled the voids in the family left by Rollo and Ragnars shitty second wife.

Whoever procured the actors for this super series was an absolute genius ,and thats an understatement.

They both definitely deserve a reward, an Oscar. They really brought the history to life. Especially these 2, always loved their relationship.

I imagine that a warrior culture like the Norse would breed great conquerors and warriors that would be comfortable enough with their own sexuality that it would actually be easier for 2 men to say I love you to each other.

​@@timmyianni2309they weren't warriors in the slightest. The Vikings are so over romanticized, they were workers. Farmers, fishermen etc... who used stealth and numbers to defeat their opponents. As far as being comfortable in your sexuality, it's got nothing to do with that. It's just not something that men typically say because to love someone requires a proper connection. You might say you love your family, or a friend you grew up with and are like brothers but you wouldn't say it to someone who you don't really spend time with as you haven't built that connection

@@adamprice1593 of course you wouldn't just say it to anyone and I was referring to the warrior class specifically as that was who was a in this exchange. I know not all Norse folk are vikings or shield maidens but they had a standing army that was very much focused on exploration and conquest.
