Rule of thumb: don't date someone younger than your children or older than your parents. I have a 12 year age gap with my partner - I'd say 15 years should be the absolute limit or else you'll be far too far apart in development.

These two have ZERO LOVE for one another! Not in their words, looks, or even body language with each other. This relationship began as something objectively wrong, and it’s spiraled into something even more wrong, and bringing a child into this fiasco would be the worst thing ever, both for them and the child. I live in Nevada and the age of consent here is 16, so by law, things could be a lot worse than what is seen here. I'm 52 and I'm married, but if I was single, met someone who was in to me and I was in to them, why is age such a concern for most? I've know 25 year old's going on 50, and I've known 40 year old's going on 15, and all ranges in-between. The couple here isn't breaking any laws and they seem happy enough, who am I to tell them otherwise? Life is to short for the BS, so do what makes you happy, all the best and good luck on the kids.

For me personally I only see a problem if one partner is a teen and the other like 7+ years older bc there will likely a difference in power in the relationship and that could become dangerous for the younger person when they're in a vulnerable stage in their life. I even think 16 is not old enough for anything over 21🤷‍♀️ of course, exceptions may exist

The rule is half your age plus 7. So as a 52 year old the youngest you should date is 33.

There is a good rule to go by in regards to age differences. You half the oldest persons age and add 7. If the younger person is younger than that age the relationship is doomed. A 55 year old shouldnt go with anybody under 34 by this rule.
