You can meet new people, young and old, and It would be fun for you and your son, and it relatively cheap to get into in japan, about 5000 yen to start. (as long as you buy used stuff). Id love to donate towards it! I know your budget is tight, but finding something you and your son love to do together would improve your quality of life greatly. I would lean more to treasure and not trash for most of these items. I myself am 46 and recently have been very interested in items from 30-40 years ago that was around when i was young. The older we get the more we tend to desire things that remind us of our childhood.

And you can leave it playing by itself so it feels like youre actually watching a game from that era

I liked the Sumo and Gundam cards. I watch Sumo on NHK-World Japan website. When I was a kid living in Japan in the early 70's, I got to attend a Sumo tournament. All the kids in school collected and traded cards that had Kamen Rider, Ultraman, Cutie Honey, and other Japanese TV and anime characters. I wish I had saved all my cards. I also had pins for all the Japanese professional baseball teams. I miss those days in Japan!

So nice to see someone around my age who likes fun things! The shirts are great! I wear sanrio characters as well as video game characters. But those may look a little funny on a guy. (I’m female) I wish we had good gachapon here. Where I live in Ontario the gacha machines are so bad! Ugly, stupid things and always the same things. Maybe it’s better that way lol. I’d spend money if we had cool ones here. Those cards are so cool. I love looking at things that have a style that makes you kinda nostalgic. I wish I had my old game boy. The refurbished ones they have now look really good though.
