i'm currently in my very first week of college! feeling a bit overwhelmed. my schedule was already busy enough, and then actual classes started and i'm quite scared. i know that everything will calm down, but as of now, AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. ahem. mhm. okay. everything is fine.
i'm enjoying my readings though, which is good. some are more boring than others. i feel a bit in over my head, you know? i love the college environment so much. the students, the bustle, the coffee, and concentration. but the classes themselves, i feel a bit bored of. i find my mind wandering like it did in high school. maybe i should talk about it in another video. i want to be authentic with you, andd this is the honest truth! no sugar coating by cone.
besides college, i'm having a good time. i'm writing a ton of music, am spending time with new friends, and have been going on fun little adventures (you'll see in the next vlog).

ur mental health thing sounds very similar to dissociation!! i get it super frequently, and its kind of a natural reaction to stress which makes sense for moving 💕 there are exercises you can do to ground yourself in reality but its pretty hard to pull yourself out of it. be sure to get sleep and stay grounded 💕💕

i legit was walking into powell when i immediately noticed you bc of ur impeccable fashion sense. you were sitting alone with ur yellow ucla cap faced down but i was helping a friend navigate her way inside the library. i was wearing all denim, my sunglasses, and my pink shirt i stopped and was THIS close to sitting next to you and asking how you were maybe bc it’s my older sister instinct and im legit concerned about that but then i decided against it bc i did not want to bother you LOL

The feeling of dissociation is derealization. It's your body disconnecting mentally from your brain. It's basically your brain going "woah this is too much for me I'm taking a step back" and it makes you feel like you're watching a movie or imagining it all or like you said in a video game. I'm two weeks into college and the feeling isn't that strong anymore, but before moving and a little after moving i felt the exact same way
