im a gen x'er, i wouldnt try to cancel her, i just haven't got a sodding clue who she is, same goes for half of those in there.

Personally, I think it's only fair that someone like Nella gets cancelled. It's time for the shoe to be on the other foot for a while, to drive home how absolutely ridiculous these people are. Good people have been cancelled as a result of people like Nella, funny how now people are happy to admit that cancel culture is bad when it happens to someone like Nella (who would fully deserve it).

Nella and Fred both know it was a misunderstanding and they clear the path better. She probably stressed, overwhelmed, and frustrated on being in the jungle that is far away from home. I think cancelling her is wrong as we understand the pressure that her and everyone in the jungle is going through.

This is probably the most sensible take I’ve seen on this from someone with the same skin tone as Nella however she is a part of what’s wrong not only in the UK but the world just now she’s an “influencer” so influencing the next generations and she can react like this even after sleeping on it and then doubling down and doing the petty I’m not eating your food and not once has she apologised or acknowledged she was wrong she thinks everyone else is wrong for having an opinion on it she’s a vile person. Also 90% of the public loved her myself and my wife included after the first episode she would’ve still been in and a potential winner if she wasn’t such a vile person.

The campmates seemed to actually really like her, and she seemed to have formed a good bond with the girls, and also Tony (who voted for her to be camp leader) who wouldn’t mince his words if she was so vile. We need to remember that ITV and many shows will only show us what they want us to see, just for the drama of it all. Also, as she and many other camp mates have said, it’s really intense in there any any little thing can make you go off, not to mention that Nella lost two parents at such a young age, so her reaction to Fred was probably also fuelled by trauma. Again, it was still an over reaction and it would have been nice to see her apologise to Fred as I believe he is a lovely guy and meant no harm. However calling Nella “Vile” based on carefully edited footage is stretching it, and also an over reaction. Which would also make us vile for being just like her.

Unfortunately it does for me, as someone who is an ethnic female of mostly north African origin myself, nearly all the coworkers i’ve ever had issues with have been black women who where very similar in appearance and attitude to Nella as well as usually African origin males. I grew up in an area that was nearly totally black and all my childhood friends where black so for me this is painful to admit but it’s what I have noticed. Because I am well spoken (despite growing up very poor and in a bad area with only one abusive parent) and I look white - they usually seem to have an issue with me wheras white people readily accept me. It’s such a mind f*ck and sad for me to have to admit.
