I tried to play this game, and I think I held out probably for a couple hours. But the amount of stress I was feeling because of this game got pretty insane real quick and I ended up uninstalling the game. Hats off to whoever works as a 112 or 911 operator IRL, because I could never.

really? they gave it free on epic i think a month or two ago and i beat it within 6-8 hours and I had an absolute blast. i remember staring at my computer screen, one hand on my chin, the other on the mouse at 4am just LOCKED in. calls come down to asking when they happened then getting a location if needed, the rest was making sure you kept units nicely spread out

@@EmiWi yeah, I definitely wasn't knocking or downplaying them for not being able to. It was pretty interesting. There was actually like an hour of me genuinely thinking about being a 911 Operator then *SPOILER SCRIPTED EVENT HAPPENS* and I was like.. Yeah I'm good so I'm technically still with em 😂

@@moneyboy503 I wish I could play more of this. I guess my problem just lies in me automatically focusing too much in what happens on the caller's end. I feel so strongly and then all the incoming calls probably just ended up in me getting overwhelmed. Thank god I don't have a job that potentially puts me in charge of other peoples' lives. As much as I kind of like the thought, I know that I'm not qualified.

I love how the lightbulp up someone's butt is one of the most realistic things this game has to offer. And so much so there's a response to cut the crap and go straight to the point.

Yeah and the lightbulb is dangerous, forget trying oil or others thing, ppl need to go to the hospital. Sometimes they need surgery to remove bc if it breaks inside you can die or need a colostomy bag for the rest of your life.

As an emergency operator you should always ask for location first. That is something they tell you to do before asking anything else, because if you don't have a location in time it might be too late.

Pretty sure at one point they changed from "What's your emergency?" to "Where's your emergency?" instead, so that they can already start scanning for emergency service assets that're available in that vicinity while learning more about what's going on.

34:14 The units couldn't do anything except report the body because there were no other civilians or incidents at that location. The ribbon icon indicates a subject is dead. What happened was the man unfortunately ALT+F4'ed (so KZfaq doesn't flag this).

It’s the honest fact that stuff like this happens irl. Ppl r most likely dying in the operators ear constantly and I’m pretty sure there’s a conscious on their mind like “I know I could’ve done sumthing”. I couldn’t do this kinda job honestly. Like imagine trying to go to sleep at night but all u think about is the screams of sumone who just died that day. It’s a horrible and terrifying experience

You did pretty good man and I hope you return you're commentary does make it quite interesting! I'm an expert at this game, and here's some tips. Also I hope you make this a series, would be great to see someone else play a game I Wasted so much time into. It is generally advised to equip your units with different weapons, you can do that by clicking the box with the weapon icon, generally for larger police units you want assault rifles and such, and for other units you want better gear, the default gear is very bad later on. You'll get more weapons and such as you get further. When it comes to the call with the guy who offs himself, that call is extremely difficult, but generally you want to keep him on the line for as long as possible, do not say anything which will make him do it. It's a very hard call, even I Still struggle with it. (Since calls can repeat and do repeat after quite a few duties) Remember the basic rules for an operator that I follow: Obtain Location Get simple idea of what has happened identify appropriate action get the caller to do something safe and not life-threatening if necessary and prevent them from potentially doing something which could harm them The incident's colour(s) indicate(s) which unit is needed red fire blue police white paramedics if the incident has multiple colours then send each unit which corresponds to each colour. As for units, they can still respond if they have passengers onboard, though I believe you already figured that out later. Also you get weather info since extreme weather sometimes occurs in those cases, smaller vehicles cannot be used and weather specific calls and incidents can occur. Also I recommend slowing down time by default the game has time set to 2 times, the arrow to the left of the default one on the time control menu is real time so vehicles and escaping incidents will move at real time speeds, also calls come in slower as well, which can help give you a moment to think, since the game can get overwhelming when you have a lot of city regions. As for the zombie outbreak DLC, definitely you should try it, but it is quite hard to activate since I believe you need to start a new game, and you need to last for a random number of days before the outbreak begins. Also this game has literally every major city on earth not just London, so if you get tired of London you can always try another UK city Scottish Welsh Irish, their all there, or a random city in another country. If you do come back to this game, and if you do find this helpful, I'm glad.

I remember this game fondly, way back when Jesse Cox played it on his Greenlight program. It looks even more polished and detailed now! I was floored that there are cutscenes.
