Katherine went to hell, although I feel like she didn't deserve that. All her life she's been betrayed, mistreated and neglected by her family and many others. She's never had a true friend. Klaus slaughtered her beloved. And she spent centuries trying to escape a fate she did not deserve. She had to lie and manipulate because she had no other choice. If anything, she deserved to be at peace with her daughter. It was a good ending, but I don't feel that it was fair to Katherine at all.

this is how it should have ended. i loved the fact we learnt the truth about her, and elena's forgiveness, it was just perfect; a perfect ending for an amazing character. but then they decided to make her an evil bitch again and jump in elena's body. worst decision ever.

Why do love Katherine? Everyone says she's evil but truth be told she isn't. She does what she can too survive and no one was their because her family was murdered by Niklaus(still love him) and she spent her entire life running from him and tbh I agree with most she's done.

Even after all there misdeeds I don't know if it's possible for someone to be forgiven but I do know that if someone truly wants to be good and if they're truly remorseful then they deserve to be redeemed.
