I’ve been carrying an xl with a Wilson combat and a 507k for 2 years everyday. They gun stays loaded unless I’m dry firing. Around 2k rounds of all types. Zero malfunctions of any kind. Great little pistol! Lights out accurate! My buddy who was a ranger in the army was looking at it when I first got it and dropped the slide on concrete directly on the corner of the rds. Little rash but still held zero and never nd’d. Love this little pistol!

On the p320 my personal opinion is that the user can remove the FCU for cleaning ect. and cause problems during process of removing, cleaning,and putting back in if user is not knowledgeable of the FCU component. Also it doesn't take a genius to figure out how to mess with the FCU to make it do "weird" things to get KZfaq views

I've had p365 and p365 XL for several years without issue. However when I recently picked up a p365 X Macro I noticed a similar trigger and striker hang when dry firing new out of the box. When live firing for the first time the issue never presented itself. I'm about 700 rounds into it now and no issues. Definitely something to watch for though.

Tip from a guy who found this community from the Knife EDC community: at 0:30 you want to sweep the stone across the entirety of the blade in one complete motion, and then repeat. Sharpening sections of the blade individually can lead to an inconsistent edge/ cutting performance. Nice knife, SOG have improved a lot since 2017, and great video as always. Edit: that Pentagon OTF is beautiful. I had one that I ended up selling and boy do I regret it now. Also the Terminus SJ a slip joint, which means it does not have a lock.

So in that video with the 365 it seems less like an issue of the gun going off randomly and more not going off when it's supposed to, I suspect that the sear is getting stuck on the striker edge when the trigger is pulled and the shake is releasing it, my guess is it either wore in weirdly or I have seen some cases of the grip module seemingly being molded wrong and letting the fcu to slide back ever so slightly with the trigger pull and preventing full travel of the trigger which would more be my guess as to what is happening there, with the icarus grip being precision milled I would not expect to see the same issue, could be totally wrong as I haven't experienced the issue so that's just what I have theorised seeing some videos and the three different 365s I have pulled apart, the reason I also mentioned the wear is that the back of the sear does have a little shelf in the under edge of it that I could see catching on the sear under certain conditions

First off, if you pull the trigger and the gun doesn’t go off….. something is wrong, probably broken, inside…. And I hope nobody would say, “awe shucks, it won’t fire when I pull the trigger, guess I will keep carrying it anyway”….. take the internals apart and see what’s wrong, and if you can’t do that take it to a competent gunsmith or email Sig.

Excellent video! Awesome coverage of multiple topics. Keep up the great work, I really appreciate you! I owned a 365XL for about 2 months. On every range trip the follower would stick in the mags and only the top round would feed. It was pretty surprising to me being that up to that point every Sig I ever had was 100% for me (I never owned a P320). Taking the mag apart, cleaning them, de-burring rough spots or excess plastic on the followers, ammunition changes, etc...none of it ever fixed the problem. If the 2 factory mags that came with it wouldn't work I wasn't about to go buy more. I just sold the gun and went with a Glock 43 to fill the role the 365 was supposed to fill. Now I'm looking at the Shield Plus to share duties with the G43. The whole magazine issue just pushed the 365 out of consideration for me when there are now many more options comparable in size with excellent reputations for reliability. The M&P Metal is beautiful, it will be my next purchase! Again, thanks for all you do!
@Metallica8589
@Metallica8589 Жыл бұрын
Sounds dumb but the mags are finicky and I think have to be worn in. I took my Macro out and had similar issues. If I didn't load the mag perfectly I would get malfunctions. I think Sig in their attempt to get a bunch of capacity for limited real estate ended up creating a magazine with weird tolerances. Only magazine I have ever had to use a loader on.

Just want to say, you definitely helped ease a LOT of my fears about purchasing firearms. One of the first videos that I stumbled upon of yours, you'd kinda mentioned that you were in a similar situation when you started looking at your very first purchase and how you went about it. This was critical information for me to finally feel like I could actually go in and have a general idea of the etiquette and specifically sorta what to be looking for as a first-time buyer. You were a huge confidence booster, for sure, and a day or two after seeing that video I got myself a Del-Ton Sierra 316L SXT/Ergo as well as the full armory toolkit that you'd suggested because I would love to build my next rifle to really make it my own. One incident and you're ready to give up?? Working in a gun store back in the 70s a woman returned a Colt Gold Cup 1911. Her complaint was that when she pulled the trigger "ALL the bullets came out." I thought she was referring to a dropped magazine, but she corrected me. She meant that every round fired with one trigger pull. We took it upstairs to the gunsmith who verified that it was a full auto 1911. We had to test it several times to see for ourselves. Since that day, I have owned several 1911s that I bought unafraid. I think you should too in this case of the malfunctioning P365.

One thing that nobody can deny how fascinating is that SIG 320 can discharge without a trigger pull. Kudos to SIG design engineers to come up with this unique feature. I am a reputable design engineer myself with proven success of designing complex mechanisms and machineries and as a gun enthusiast I feel I could design a pistol, but I am not that good to design it to discharge without a trigger pull. This is beyond my ability. Even though I am fascinating with SIG 320 I have no desire to get one. Ever.

To be fair, the failure in the video happens after the trigger is pulled which is something that should be impossible to replicate while you have it holstered…but in general I do agree that it is a concerning issue

My 365XL has a clunky trigger. I think the Glock factory trigger is even better. Other than that no issues. I would suggest going to a gun shop and checking for yourself before you buy. I love the gun otherwise but the trigger is kind of sad. But I didn't buy it for a target pistol.

Glock factory trigger is better? Not a chance. Glock is known for stock garbage triggers. Also the issue “pulling” trigger is easily replicated in ANY striker fired weapon. Nice try. The 320 FCU issue was for weapons manufactured prior to 2017 and some very early 2018. 1000+ rounds through my XMACRO and ZERO issues. Daily carry.

M390 is a higher grade of steel, but it's also a harder steel to sharpen. The edge will last you a while, but sharpening could be a hassle to sharpen if you aren't into sharpening. S35vn would be a much nicer steel for those that does it once in a while.

Another comment for you about the rings... I used to coach my sons baseball team, and the opposing coach was screwing around and jumped up to do pull ups on the fence of the dugout. His metal wedding band got caught on the fence and when he let go it ripped his finger off... and it couldn't be reattached. This isn't the only story like this I have heard about. I've heard of other people that work with milling equipment having the same thing happen. Anyway, I wanted to tell you because I also switched to the silicone ring, and highly recommend that anyone that does anything active do the same.

I agree on the Kore Essentials belts. I tried a Blue Alpha belt (Hybrid EDC with the cobra buckle in tan) and, when I wasn't wearing a gun/holster, but had my shirt tucked in my khaki Levi work pants, I was "made" by a customer I was meeting for the first time. It just stood out. He's a hunter/fisherman type, but not the type who carries a gun everywhere/every day. The Cobra buckle also rattles a lot. While it is very strong, the latch and the buckle don't fit together tight enough to prevent rattling around together. I wasn't worried about being made with my shirt tucked in because I can't carry in my customer's facilities and I wear my shirts untucked outside of work. But the noisy buckle had me selling it. I went back to a plain-jane brown leather belt. I dress like a typical suburban Dad, in jeans/khaki shorts, white undershirt, and a button down fishing shirt or t-shirt. I forgo the white New Balances and calf height tube socks though, preferring Altra's/Merrell rail running shoes and Darn Tough/Smartwool no show socks. I've owned everything from cheap department store belts to a "gun belt" made by Amish folks (and sold on Amazon lol) to Magpul's version with the polymer inner layer. I buy Hank's now, and I'm very happy. Happy enough that I also use their wallet and their Apple Watch bands. The belt I use every day for work and carry is their Stitched Gunner 1.5". I've had mine for over 2 years now and it's still in perfect condition.

I saw this video and with this FCU you MUST actuate the trigger to disengage the internal safety for the gun to fire. I still carry my Sig P365X appendix after learning how the internals are different from the 320. It's a safe gun as long as you protect the trigger, as you should.
@luigi999ish

I dont think this point applies to the issue he mentioned. I don't know anyone who would carry a gun that won't go off on a trigger pull but will go off after it gets shook. Imagine you go click with no bang, you decide to clear, you depress the mag and either shake or pull the mag out, only to have it go off as you're performing that action. It's an unsafe gun. With Sig's history i think it's one of those "better to be safe than regret it later on" situations.

so stupid cops exclusively carry p320s? or could it be that a gun randomly going off while holstered has nothing to do with negligence and is just an unsafe firearm to begin with. probably won't change your mind though since you have sig in your username

@dsig7776 how exactly am I blind this is clearly an issue with the p320 and not just negligence because it *only* happens to officers (and civilians) who carry the p320. It's not happening with glocks, smith and wessons, h&ks, walthers, springfields, berettas, CZs, FNs or any other popular handgun. Only sigs fire while sitting in a holster. Not every p320 will have this issue, but some surely do and you can't know for sure if any one gun does. Common sense would say that sig is responsible, but you want to keep dick riding a corporation, even if it means ignoring obvious danger.

@dsig7776 I agree. If you like it and you think your's is safe go ahead and carry it. It's only pointed at your own legs/genitals. but it's irresponsible to say that all 320s are perfectly safe when that's clearly not the case. also I doubt that every single video of a p320 going off is doctored, especially those being used as evidence in these cases.

I own a few SIGs (P320 X5 Legion, 365XL and the 320 RXP XCompact) all have X-series straight triggers. Firstly I have never had any trigger issues with any of my Sigs, so I count myself lucky amongst all the lawsuit and video content people who swear by faulty designs. But I must say that the TacticalAdvisor vid shows someone pulling the trigger slowly to the wall and then an abrupt shake makes it fire... Hmmmm. Maybe... But I will wait for your review. Keeping dropping excellent content.

I have a p365 xl and have encountered a similar issue with a delayed bang when the trigger is pulled. It only happens when i have an aftermarket Zev slide on there though. The stock side and internals work great, the Zev slide with oem Sig internals cause a delayed strike when the trigger is fully pulled. I've read around that it might be the striker safety getting caught up with tight tolerances. I haven't broken in the Zev slide yet to see if the issue would go away but I'm hoping it does
