Man time flies, not so long ago Kevin was signed from Wolfsburg having been deemed a failure at Chelsea. Now he gets stick because people expect him to play like he’s in his prime every single game.

@@scpython1 Only five teams in history have won it more than 5 total times. SAF won it twice in 45 years of management. Unless you coach Real Madrid, you are not guaranteed anything in the UCL. Do you forget that it took Barcelona, indisputably in the five biggest clubs in the world, until 1992 to win their first? City was in the second division only 20 years ago. They have played only 12 campaigns in UCL. Again, English-fans’ consensus greatest manager ever SAF won UCL only two times in 26 years at United. Pep is right. What other team is always favorites in a competition they’ve never won? It’s a classic case of building them up to knock them down. If in ten more years they’ve still failed to win it, then you can have serious questions. Only one team averages more than one UCL per decade… and that’s Real Madrid, probably the biggest club in world football.

déjà un des plus grands joueur de l'histoire, je suis français et j'aurais aimé que KDB le soit. je le mets capitaine en edf tous les jours, à chaque interview , chaques briefing de prématch et apres match avec les joueurs même les journalistes il a les mots . It is true. Haaland is not being utilized as he had been previously. Many times he makes a brilliant run and is ignored. He's not going to make a goal every time he gets an opportunity, but if you give him the chance, he's going to find the back of the net far more often than not. I do think it's an issue.

@@MCFCTheMadHatter Yeah. That was bad. It seems deliberate. It had to have been deliberate. Strangely this behavior coincided with that tweet that was doing rounds about how MC is better without Haaland. As soon as that tweet came out and was picked up by the media, Harland’s scoring decreased dramatically and his teammates “mysteriously” couldn’t find him on the pitch.

But I also recall him saying that the team needs to do more to find Haaland which tells me Pep either directly contradicted himself in that press conference (unlikely) or you’re attributing him saying that in the RBL press conference when he did not. I don’t ever recall Pep saying he deliberately told the team to ignore Haaland (not telling Haaland so he continues to make runs with no purpose) for tactical purposes. But I’d love to hear it. So let me know which one he said not giving the ball to Haaland was a deliberate tactic. Thanks!

Im sure you know football better than Pep , so now Halland is " utilized" 5 goals vs Leipzig and hattrick vs Burnley ... ha ha ha I got frustrated every game as a striker when I made a run and dd not get a ball ,that is football for you . The best team in Europe, if there is an English winner, is only the best team in England if they are also winners of the Premier league. So when Liverpool and Chelsea won it recently, City won the Premiership. So the CL winners are the best team in Europe but that excludes England.
