The problem is the investigators never questioned the Queen about their conversation and the investigators had previously gone to Prince Charles and Prince William stating that they had proof Paul had stolen things and misused them which made them mad so they supported the trial. It turns out that was a lie or misunderstanding and the investigators never advised Prince Charles and Prince William that it turned out to be wrong. So basically it was the investigators fault because they were too scared to question the Queen and to inform Prince Charles and William that they were wrong. The other issue was the the Queen knew about it but didnt know/remember exactly which items (or didn't want to reveal). Paul also tried to not involve the Queen by not disclosing their conversation right away. There were also other witnesses that knew he had spoken to her about it but didnt know the details.

To be honest , if Diana was telling a small boy Harry that his role in life was to support his brother the future king, I think that's wrong.. and the nanny telling him William got an extra sausage because he was going to be king... And not as I would have assumed because William was older and growing faster at the time and naturally ate more than Harry. From what Paul says, and he seems honest about it, Harry was messed up and made to feel a spare and not in these incidences treated as an equal child to William. There was no need to even talk about William being the future king with the brothers. It wasn't going to happen for decades. I can see partially from such incidences how Harry was treated differently to William and how that would have contributed in part to him being the immature, angry and revengeful 40 year old we see today... if that was the message he was being given throughout his childhood. So his adoration of his mother, who allowed this differentiation, and encouraged it, between her two sons as children, is certainly misplaced. Bad parenting on her part.

Well, Diana had never issues with monarchy. She was an aristocrat and never spoke against it. She had issues with some courtiers and some senior royals when dealing with her failed marriage.
