Many homeless shelters were forced to close or reduce their capacity due to social distancing guidelines, leaving many without a place to stay. Some organizations and governments attempted to address this issue by setting up temporary shelters in hotels or community centers.
Furthermore, the pandemic has affected the livelihoods of many people, especially those working in industries that were heavily impacted by the pandemic, leading to an increase in homelessness.
It's crucial that we continue to raise awareness about the struggles that those experiencing homelessness face, and work towards finding long-term solutions to end homelessness.
