It's ridiculous how short the PBA season is. If the PBA were smart (hint: they're not), they would run the PBA season in conjunction with the fall/winter bowling leagues. They could generate a lot more interest, excitement and participation. This would help them to bring in a LOT more money into the PBA, a lot more sponsors with a lot of bowling centers broadcasting PBA tournaments on their inhouse televisions during league play. But alas, the PBA is NOT smart, unfortunately.

@@squidly2112 But every center also relies on its fall/winter leagues to make money- so you want them to cancel an entire weeks' leagues for PBA events? A lotta pros also bowl leagues or run pro shops during league seasons too; so asking them to set that aside for PBA events is hard, too. It's kind of a no-win situation.

@@monkeycircus509 - Yes, it would only push leagues back by 1 week for those centers that host. Big deal, we do it ours for PWBA, PBA50 and PBA regionals already. Not a problem.

I texted a little bit ago. I have also had 6 back surgeries. I don't let too much stop me. My best friend is my bowling coach. He was there for my first 600 series. I have bowled the bvl and the last one I was 35th women in the state of Iowa. I'm going to keep going as long as my body will let me.

Jeez, that's rough! I'm glad you're still able to keep going. I had a really bad neck injury that led to me needing a spinal fusion, and I haven't been the same since. My doctors actually told me that one bad fall could lead to paralysis, so I can't bowl anymore. :( I really hope you're able to bowl for a long, long time.

Darren, that popping in your wrist could be onset of Carpal Tunnel. Your tendons are stretched against the carpal tunnel when your wrist is cupped at the bottom of the swing. Not a good thing.

I hook spares because I can't throw straight. But I have a back up ball for ten pins and right side splits. Averaging 210 rn! I use the Hammer Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid, which I hate, I'm using Track Stealth as my main ball, and an old Storm Rocket as my backup ball. I just bowl house leagues, though. I don't have the time to do tournaments anymore. :\

I used to bowl 2 handed but switched back to 1 handed because I couldn't get the ball to hook any more now I just like the feel of bowling 1 handed. I've been considering going back, but when I try, I can't seem to get it to hook. So I don't think I'll be going back

Do you have a comparison on revs w/ you (specifically) doing 2h vs. 1h? Watching guys like EJ Tacket pulling 500+ rpms 1h. I worry I'm going to switch for no gain, and maybe even lose some accuracy, since I've been doing 1h all my life.
