I see your "normal" theory videos, primarely for the entertainment value. But these vids, is what i really find interesting. The attempt of making things better for all involved is an awesome take on the world, thats influenced alot be the "ME, ME, ME"- and cancel culture. I mean realisticly that is propably the best option, while the ideal that if we all move over to a new platform might eventually work after many atempts failling, the earliest i remember around 2011 trying to move to vimeo was the most successful and that still failed, the sad reality is that youtube, and to a larger extent google have become such an important part of everyday life, it is practically impossible to compete, Matpat even kind of talked about this on film theory recently with streaming, of how the landscape was once a place were many places can thrive, now only the giants can survive, so now the best we can do is try to do damage controle, and fight for whats right as the majority, because the minority in power have shown that they will not help us even when it is in there best interest, and while its sad that we have so little power that despite being the majority we still have to bend over groups like corporations or people in government like ajait pai who use there positions to benifit themselves instead of the people, we can make a difference as long as we stand united

Now there’s a problem, superbam is spamming claims on fanmade videos that use short clips of some creators (who don’t seem to have a problem with it) and creators like neon jack are suffering here, they’re even claiming videos that don’t get monetized so this needs to be fixed.

Just wanted to say thanks for this! Rarely comment and by no means a content creator, but I appreciate knowing what's going on behind the scenes. As a teacher I often have kids who seriously want to pursue a career in youtube or an eGamer and I am glad to be able to point them in a direction where they can educate themselves. I actually really like these kinds of videos 😃 i don't get why people get annoyed about them, it's just cool to see your favorite creators and they can introduce you to new things and teach you about them i find these videos fascinating i like data.... hmm. numbers are cool what IS a squeegee anyway? Honestly, KZfaq's biggest flaw is it's algorithm: You don't get suggested new videos, you instead get videos that receive *traffic* and fit your *genre* (For use of a better word). So many views across channels are stifled, because people never see them, and then forget about them. Then the channel dies, or radically changes (For someone like PewDiePie, this reevolution works, but for some; it finishes them off).

Is there an update video on this? If not, when will you make it MatPat? It's two years later now and I, as a viewer, still don't see less crappy demonitisation tactics and video &channel ban strategies. It's still pretty much a war of YT against it's creators and therefore against it's viewers as well

proof that MatPat is worthy of the title of "role model". my siblings and I grew up on The Game Theory/The Game Theorists and always loved seeing the inspiration and fun content that got uploaded onto the channel. even now, the channel still has the same charm, just with a higher budget and more impact. :)
