I am also doing a Pokédex binder, the only thing is, mine is consisting of stamped Pokémon cards. Now, I ended up realizing that I might not do all 1,000+ pokemon since not every Pokémon has a stamped card but the first 3 Gens do with the exception of the Abra Evo line. You’ve put it in great words, it definitely is a chore. 😅

@@KebinTCG those unfortunately didn’t make the cut but they’re still considered in any case I don’t have the mon I need. I used the rev holos from the 2005-2007 era like Emerald base set/Crystal Guardians, etc.

So I wanted to do this as a kid and was able to do it as an adult, I found your video interesting because I wanted to see how you were doing it. So far I’ve only completed the first 151. That first binder has a theme that I wanted, which is I wanted all original 151 cards in Japanese from base set, fossil and jungle. I began completing generation 2 like that in the same binder but eventually gave up because the gen 2 cards as singles were surprisingly much more expensive. So that first generation is extremely nostalgic to go through seeing all the original artworks altogether. I decided I’m going to do 9 different binders in Pokédex style picking the best artworks from my bulk . Doing 3x3 binders for each one. Sorting out the bulk will be an extremely tedious process , most of my cards are gen 1 and 2 wizards of the coast , sword and shield and scarlet and violet

I am very excited to document this journey. I have some footage of me somewhere picking up some gen 2 cards, I didn't realize the starters would be so expensive until they rang up the total hahaha. So I totally get the hesitation with that. I was thinking in the back of my mind of gathering all my bulk first, then as I build and review, swap in cards as I see fit. I picked up an Electabuzz card with the KidsWB promo logo on it and might place it in my Pokédex. I think i'll also end up doing a 3x3 binder too. Thanks for your comment, I really appreciate it! Good job, i am also building a natdex binder, and i am 61percent complete! Im just enjoying the slow progress and not stressing out on the process, i started 2 yrs ago.

That's incredible, what I do think is that I feel that if you organize it by generation you would have to repeat some Pokémon that are not from that generation but had an evolution in that number, what would it be like to organize them by how they appear in the Pokedex?

I thought about that and my first thought is leaning towards a national dex over gen specific binders. Although gen specific binders would help solve my regional Pokémon problem. PLUS, if I like multiple Pokémon cards of a Pokémon across multiple gens, I can fill them in

I'm doing a Pokedex Binder too and I've considered putting the regional variants beside their original form but decided against it in the end. Imagine if in Gen 10 they release a new variant of a Kanto mon, I really did NOT want to take out and re-slot 1025 cards one slot over. Probably bad for the cards and 100% bad for the binder. I already have some scratches on the plastic from changing out cards over and over whenever I find a new one that I like better. So regional variants go in the generation they came in, Regional Dex style

That’s what I thought about too! I think I might do some sort of thing where I have regional variants behind the standard. At least a regional variant binder too. Yeah, planning for new variants is a bit tricky for sure

I don't have bulk yet lol 😂 but I'm definitely looking for bulk. I've started getting back into doing card alter artwork, I'm hoping to find some good deals on bulk at a tcg show this weekend, so I can turn them into some nice card alter artwork 😀. I love seeing what others do with bulk cards! I wish I still had all my old cards, but sadly they got lost to time. 😢

That’s the great thing about the hobby, it’s never too late to start the bulk! I’ve always wanted to do the card alter art but I don’t have the patience or skill hahaha. Good luck on finding some deals at the card show!

I'm doing a Gen. 1 (151) slabbed pokedex. It doesn't matter the PSA/BGS/CGC grade or what set it is from. Just all 151 in graded plastic! A lot of slabs can be picked up relatively cheaply on ebay.

Now that’s a collection. I can’t imagine how heavy that must be to carry it around haha. My one slab I picked up was $20, so yeah, it’s not a bad deal. I’m also tempted to pick up a graded VSTAR marker just for funsies
